Okay, I could've swore that I commented on your last update, but I guess I didn't. I like the fact that nuclear weapons are held by Myon, and I like the war stories. Very nice mosaic, too. Keep it up!

    Update 7: Something Different...

    galesfe071jk2.jpg

Located to the north of Faevza along M-11 is the Chinatown region of Galesfe City, located right on the edge of the main city to the north, and the suburbs to the south. It currently isn't one of the best places to live, but some recent renovations and construction projects in the area are helping to change that. (such as the shiny new skyscraper in the bottom left of the picture.)

    galesfe072rm8.jpg

At least it looks a little better at night, but stay out of those dark alleyways.

    galesfe073sb2.jpg

Another thing that is helping to encourage new growth in the region is the Myon Hotels Resort and Waterpark, Chinatown, bringing new jobs as well as tourists to the area.

    galesfe074bb6.jpg

The waterpark area. Hmm, it usually is busier than that.

    galesfe075sy5.jpg

It also has a sports area, with soccer, softball, tennis, and basketball offered.

    galesfe076qm3.jpg

And of course, the actual hotel. Features include yet another pool, as well as several restaurants, a spa, a workout room and gym, a rotating lounge area at the very top of the building, and its very own bus and subway stop!

sloppet: I don't know about a zuke, but there is some zukish in there. Thanks for the comment!

Micah: I think it is because there are more people over here than at SCC. There probably won't be too many more explosions, though.

yoder7652: Welcome! Glad you like it!

I also have a SimCity Central account. I was downloading a mod from there, and posted in the SCC mirror of this CJ. The comment is over there, but post the reply on Simtrop.

your extensive use of the raised park set is really incredible...I don't think I've seen another cj that has made them that central to the architecture of the city...quite impressive

Great looking China town area there.. very cool.

I like the resort and the surrounding area ... very beautiful too.

I am always amazed at the dramatic differences seen in your Cj...pretty realistic if you ask me.

Very nice screenshots.  Funny thing is though, that what has caught my eye in a couple of your pictures so far is some of the road layouts you're using.  Like the avenue dip and road bridge on this page.  It looks so smooth and realistic.  I like it.  4.gif

Update 8, Story: Character and Setting Intro

    May 19th, 0150AL

The story will follow a group of 4 friends who attend Galesfe South Central High School, and their names are Binashu Kaja, Lauren Halatik, Scott Wasuvo, and Tiffany Meiring. (But it won't be 4 for very much longer...) They live in the southern edge of downtown Galesfe City, and are currently in their sophomore year, which is soon to end.

    galesfe081xw1.jpg
This is the house of Binashu Kaja, a 16 year old Zevinowa. He tries to complete whatever he does, even if it means missing out on something else.

    galesfe082yr8.jpg
Lauren Halatik lives here, and she is a 20 year old Zuke (no, she wasn't held back a few years, it is just because of zuke's different growth patterns) She is very fun to be around, and tries to lighten up hard times.

    galesfe083wg1.jpg
Scott Wasuvo is a 17 year old Gremlin, and he likes his home the way it is, even though it doesn't exactly fit in with the rest of the town. He occasionally gets in trouble at school for some strange things, but he tries to make up for the things he has done.

    galesfe084sf6.jpg
Last but not least is Tiffany Meiring, a 15 year old Human who lives in this building, which looks suspiciously like Lauren's house, but isn't. She likes to explore new things, even if it means getting dirty sometimes.

    galesfe085ab1.jpg
Now on to Galesfe South Central High School, located on the corner of Haletak Park.

    galesfe086me0.jpg
Overview of Haletak Park. Can you find anyone's homes? (2 total)

    galesfe087pg4.jpg
"Sure is a nice day for a walk, isn't it?" Lauren asked.
"yes, it is, nice and sunny, and no pesky ocean storms for a change" Binashu replied.
"A great day for flying" Scott said.
"Flying? Huh?" Tiffany said before looking up to see Scott flying at about 3rd floor level.
"Hey, where did the sun go?" Binashu asked "Ack, monster!"

Lauren and Tiffany laughed as Scott came down out of the sun before landing behind Binashu.

"Hey, do you want to look down into the underground area? It is just on the next block" Scott said to try to get everyone's mind off of what just happened.
"Nah, we went there earlier this week already." Tiffany replied

    galesfe088qq3.jpg
"Muphrid Movers... I never heard of them before." Binashu said.
"Looks like some new people are moving in, I think I remember hearing something about a new student coming during the announcements at school" Lauren replied.
"I hope they are zevinowa'ti, I would like to see more of us in the school" Binashu said.
"Well, we'll just have to wait and see who they are." Scott said.

    To be continued...

Still a very good City Journal. If you have not noticed, you are linked on my signature. For a brief time, the text link had a bigger font by mistake! 2.gif (And still does, may be IE6: Firefox is not rendering a bigger font for the link.)

Update 9, Story: The New Girl

    May 22th, 0150AL

    galesfe091zg4.jpg

Lauren: I'm going over to talk to the new girl, she just looks so lonely over there sitting by herself.

Tiffany: Okay, can you say hi to her for me?

Scott: I wonder where she's from?

    Lauren: Ama!

New Girl: What did you say?

    Lauren: Ama.

New Girl: And what is 'Ama'?

Lauren: You don't know what ama means?

New Girl: No, I'm not from around here, or this planet.

Lauren: Ama means hello, and where are you from?

New Girl: I'm from the planet Muphrid, and my name is Igrasa Zaphe.

Lauren: Nice to meet you Igrasa, my name is Lauren Halatik. Would you like to meet my other friends?

Igrasa Zaphe: Yes, Lauren, I would.

Scott: *Jumps up from below the table into the air* Hello!

    Lauren: Yahh!

Scott: *Is pushed back by what seems to be wind* Wow, that was fun!

Lauren: Sorry about that, but this is Scott Wasuvo, he can be somewhat odd at times.

Cafeteria Monitor: Scott, no flying inside!

    Scott: Sorry. *lands*

Lauren: That is Tiffany Meiring, and...

    Igrasa: Which one?

Scott: The smaller one. Bigger than me, though.

Lauren: She is the human, and Binashu Kaja is the Zevinowa.

    Tiffany: Ama!

    Binashu: Hello!

Igrasa: Hi! It is nice to meet you all.

    *Bell rings*

Tiffany: We could give you a tour of the area after school if you want to.

    Igrasa: Okay, sounds cool.

Binashu: Just meet us over by the flower gardens in the park.

    Igrasa: Okay!

    galesfe092mi3.jpg

    Igrasa: There's my house!

Binashu: Which floor do you live on?

Igrasa: I live on the 5th, on the right side.

Scott: Nice house, but I like mine better.

    Igrasa: Which one is that?

Tiffany: It is the weird looking one back down the street a little ways.

Scott: Hey, don't call my house weird!

Lauren: You should know she was only kidding.

    galesfe093ho1.jpg

Binashu: There is the forest where we like to play in, it has some nice hiding places, where you can watch everyone go by and they can't see you!

Scott: There's another house like mine!

Igrasa: Nice forest, but why are some of the trees growing out of the sidewalk? And what's that big hole in the ground over there?

Lauren: I think they just didn't want to remove the trees that were groing because they are all entangled, so they just let them grow where they are.

    galesfe094ku6.jpg

Lauren: As for the hole, do you mean this?

    Igrasa: Yes.

Tiffany: That is the Geofront, the large underground part of the city, it extends all around downtown, and close to the suburbs in smaller sections. This is just one of the ventilation areas, it also lets some light in.

Igrasa: Wow, there isn't anything like that back at my last home!

    galesfe095tf5.jpg

Scott: And here is how you get down there, well, it is how you get down there if you don't know how to fly.

    Comments:

CDI_spy, cityhawk, Yoman3, gerAndi, GaBoR, jacqulina: Thanks for the comments, gald you like it!

yoder7652: I live in Minster, southern part of Auglaize County.

Tracker: It is fixed now, thanks for the comment!

The Geofront is a Japanese BAT series. Leech's cities have tons of JP BATs.
