    I don't think we have enough time to do a public beta test prior to release timeframe, sorry. But your offer is certainly appreciated nonetheless.

    The lots are undergoing test and the concept is a proven concept that had been tested since 2005. We're confident that the tunnel system will function as intended and designed when we release it into STEX.

    And remember:

    "These are safe tunnels" -- Matt Amorello (except there is no corruption in SimCity version)

    A vehicle height detector is half way done for future version release at some time.

    (and yes you will see random animation in game of height detectors activating, don't ask how though; i will provide more details as they become available near completion)

    It's like putting the Big Dig through a converter, then taking off the corruption, and adding the subway needed. Ahh...

    I'm curious... what will the traffic flow look like when you do the subway tunnels to the dig start/end connectors? Will it continue to flow one way all the time (left tunnel will flow north all the time (for instance) and right tunnel will flow south all the time)?

    so no left hand drive ay? that sucks. Any plans for a realease in the near future? Reason im asking is that I just reinstalled simcity and want to know if i can swap the sides to what sane people drive on. lol

    Yes, the tunnels will maintain directionality, as long as you don't connect the northbound to the southbound. If you do, then they will both go to one side and mess the thing up.

    You have to be careful, too, because the subways like to connect adjacent tiles.

    no, this project has no relationship with NAM as far as I know.

    we ran into some last minute issues with traffic routing, but ardecila found a fix.  so we're working on a resolution prior to release.

    in the mean time if you want to see completed big dig in action:

    okay, version 1.0 is released.

    PLEASE READ THE UPDATED USER GUIDE INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE

    We've done extensive testing to make sure it works as advertised as best as we can. But due to the experimental nature of this technology/project-scale, there might be problems we did not notice. If you see any problems, please report them here. We did not find any serious problems whatsoever, so these are safe tunnels.

    now answering the questions about my sleep schedule... i'm going to bed now 3.gif  so see you in about 6-8 hours.

    Just reading all of this and I am truly amazed...I have watched this thing being built from the beginning and actualy traveled each part as it opened, although I wasn't the first. But to keep with details...your speed limit signs are incorrect. The speed limit is 45 as you enter the southbound portal, not 55. But keep up the great work, I am loving it.
