The hotel's looking great.

If you ever want to do a MASSIVE one, I recommend taking a look at Gold Coast City's buildings on Emporis. A huge chunk of their skyline is hotels! We need a few extravagantly large hotels.

Here's a bigger shot of the movie cineplex I just released.  I made this one over a month ago, but have been fighting with it to get it to grow.  It was very stubborn, but in the end I finally tweaked it so it grows well, but not very common.  Make sure to turn the sound way up when you query it.. 3.gif

I put that hotel on hold for a bit; have a couple ideas I want to play with it, and am still figuring out the details.  In the mean time, I started working on some high wealth apartments.  I saw a building recently in Washington DC that caught my eye.  I only saw it from a distance, and eventhen only the top half, but I liked the general style.  So I adapted that and came up with these.  I have a few variations rendered, and am currently testing them for growth in game.  Not sure how long that will take, but if all goes well, it should only be about a week.

Those look very DC and very nice, and I really like your hotel.  The only suggestion I have is to add a covered entranceway to the apartments, such as is seen on hotels and upscale apartment towers.  Cloth roof, little metal poles and an arched top, with one of those people who stands there all the time and valets.

It looks good either way though.

Hey I'm new on here and simgoober you have the best buildings out of them all now I was wandering can you do a update file for Publix because I like a update for it and I live right next to the town where the headquarters is so can you do that? But I know this may be wild but the speedway downloads on here are not as good so can you make a speedway? not like the other one's.Thanks

Well there's two reasons one I can't install it which I'm having troube on alot of them except some of your new ones with the installer and the second reason isthat when you did the update for the Toysrus building I got the older and newer versions so those are the reasons.

    Simgoober,

I have been very impressed with your work on buildings for SimCity, I have uploaded almost everyone you created, all your creations catch my eye.

Anyways, there is this cool landmark in my old hometown in South Dakota called The Corn Palace, it is a very cool looking building from the outside, the inside is just a stadium (like a convention center). I think it would be very cool if you could make it for Sim City. The building is almost a block long but not quite. I know you probably get requests all the time, but please check out the pictures even if your not interested.

Here is a picture of what it looks like, if your not interested, you at least have to look at it.

    1940's Look:

    Night View (Very Cool):

I was also wondering if you could email me and tell me if you will or wont create the building, i am just so curious. I think it would be pretty easy (with your experience) to create the building. Please email me and let me know. Thanks for your time. looking forward to hearing from you.

Ohh My god I'm not the only person in South Dakota.. Ha Ha I live in Pierre South Dakota and even though I hate Mitchell I would have to agree that the corn palace would be a great building to BAT.. It offers some unique opportunities. The building is decorated differently every year using corn harvested from all over the state. The corn used like a paint by number picture to form different mosaics.. Anyway I would have to 2nd the idea to BAT the corn palace
