Here's one most of you should recognize.

Image

It's been requested several times, and I have been meaning to get to it forever.  I am not going to try to make this too huge; in RW they are monsters, but I want to this to fit in to the SC4 perspective.

This looks verry good 29.gif

(just quoted it so people don't have to turn back a page)

This one looks very realistic, except for size, but, as mentioned, you don't want it to be too large. Very good job. Also, job well done on Cracker Barrel.

Wow, that is undeniably realistic SG! Being a UKer, I'm not familiar with that store chain but it would look great in my rural areas anyway...a bit of rustic charm!!! Oh, and I love the textures on the stone columns...looks so real!!!

I've had a couple questions in my releases as of late, and rather than let the answers get lost in the comments, I thought I would answer some all together here :

    From the Canal Set :
Great job. I had a question though could you make a bridge for an avenue please?   - Avenue bridges have an in game fault, as the game puts the props for the median on any lot that is TE for avanues.  To overcome this, uas two one way bridges side by side, one in each direction. They will connect to avenues, and you will not be able to see the transition if you are careful

Oh, that is a great addon for the canals but why the road bridge does not have the sidewalks for the sims to walk on? This is simply how I started these, and continued.  To keep the model inside a one tile wide lot, and still have sides on the bridge, I could not put a sidewalk. Not enough room.

    In General :
bring back the plops please!   My time is limited as of late, and I make lots for myself, in the way I play them.  I rarely use plops, so don't make them as a rule anymore.  To do so adds at least another our or two of development to the process, and I just plain don't want to spend time on something I won't use.  Sorry.

    SimGoober,

The oneway roads will only connect inline with the avenues if you have the NAM installed.

I don't know if I've ever taken the time to say just how much I adore your creations, but I'm sure I'll make up for it in time.

I especially like your canals, and the narrow diagonals look especially promising (I haven't had the time to test them out yet, though).

One thing that I think you already have added to your master TO-DO list, but I think are important, are diagonal variable-width canals. Just pieces for one side of the canal, so that you can assemble diagonal canals like the othogonals.

    They would be really appreciated.

I hope that in time you can make them!

Keep up the amazing work 44.gif

Thanks, I did not know that.

Someone requested a LCBO Liquor store, and I found an interesting pic of one on the net.  I generally don't do a lot of requests these days, but this one looked a little neat.  Not just a steriotypical box store, but has a little character.  Not sure when I will finish it, as I am on the road for the next couple of weeks again...

Date: 9/1/2005 11:04:00 PM Author: deadwoods I thought KevDan did a BK? There are also many car dealerships on the STEX, including ones by MikeSeith and simgoober (Kelly's Escort Service).

There are a few good car dealerships out there.  For instance, I've found Ford, BMW, Mercedes, Mazda, and Nissan, but have yet to find any Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Pontiac, Saturn (actually I haven't found any GM companies).
