The Cyclone  1.0

About This File

The Cyclone opened in 1927 and is one of the oldest rollercoasters operating. Without question, it is the benchmark for which most wooden coasters are made. It has the distinction of being the most copied rollercoaster ever built. 7 "clones" are currently operating throught the world. The Cyclone was designated a New York City Landmark in 1988.

Thanks to Vlakhaas, SimGoober, Equinox, Caliban and others who helped me along the way with offering advice, computer rendering time, and development.

Cost: 15000

You will find the lot in the Park Menu

This version does not have nightlights.

If you have questions, please refer to the thread in the BAT open discussion "The Cyclone" rollercoaster project.

ooOOoo! I rode the Georgia Cyclone (possibly a clone) 11 times when my band went on a trip to Atlanta. Me and a friend rode it 9 times in a row, a water ride, then another 2 times. We would've ridden the Great American Scream Machine, but we ran out of time. BTW, this was at Six Flags over Georgia.

I hate the character limit! I give this a 10 because it was the second and BEST ROLLER COASTER I'VE EVER RIDDEN SO FAR! 8D Could you please do more roller coasters? Dollywood at Pigeon Forge, TN just opened a new coaster called Thunderhead. It's wooden, which is why I just HAVE to ride it.

I like this lot so will volunteer to help. On the next version which does have night lights, let me help you place in not only on the rewards menu, but we can make it a true reward lot. It can then be earned and won't even appear on the menu until it is earned.

Hate to be critical, but: 1. Oldest operating coaster is Leap the Dips (forgot where it is) 2. Most copied coaster is the Vekoma Boomerang (probably a/b a hundred worldwide). Sorry, I'ma coster freak. Anyway, nicely done!!

Great job, I live in Brooklyn (home of the Cyclone), not too far from Coney Island and this looks like good work from the screenshots.
