About This File
Morrocoy National Park is located in the easternmost coast of the state of Falcón, in Central-Western Venezuela. It's well-known for its lots of mangroves, many keys, rich fauna and flora, and its caves (where some of the region's Natives lived by the time the Spanish Conquistadors arrived, around 1499). Previously an unprotected region, after drawing a lot of attention in the early 70s, it was declared a national park on May 26, 1974.
On this map, the small cities of Chichiriviche and Tucacas (both Indigenous names) are included; with almost 14000 inhabitants, Tucacas is the biggest city in the area.
This region's waters are very shallow; still, I edited most of its waters' depth.
There's likely to be future versions; if you've got any questions and/or suggestions, please leave them on the comments below!
