About This File

The Republic Plaza was completed in 1995, reaching the maximum allowed height of 280 metres in Singapore, it joined the other 280m skyscrapers the United Overseas Bank Plaza and Overseas Union Bank Centre in the CBD of Singapore and adding to the skyline. Designed by Kisho Kurokawa architects. If you're in Singapore, take the MRT to Raffles Place MRT and exit the station, and you should be able to see the Republic Plaza together with the other skyscrapers.

Eternal thanks to great SCURKER, BATTER and forumer, Lee Sojot of SC3000.com's forums for a great reference photo and thanks to several forumers for providing feedback.

Two LOT files can be found, one is a landmark, the other is a RCI version offering 1888 CO$$$ jobs. Landmark effect 50 radius 25, Mayor rating 8 radius 256, costs

if I am not wrong, it cannot hit 280m because the land used for the Central Business District is actually reclaimed land. The land is not strong enough to take buildings higher than that.

My hometown has a maximum height of 160 ft. Nothing is allowed to be higher than the Genetti Hotel. Why that is when the city is in an eternal struggle to find more space for more retail and office outlets, I have no idea. Kind of a retarded and outdated ordnance that is keeping the city from actually growing.

Oh, btw, I gave this one a 4/5. Really well done. Just not really liking the texture of the blue top. It fits in very nicely to my favorite city though.
