Welcome to Kalimgrad!
enemyone commented on SimHoTToDDy's City Journal Entry in Soviet Black Sea Union (SBU)
Thanks a lot :D, this is such an amazing CJ, what area did you try and base this off of? Have you been to Europe before? It really looks like a real place. Have any more up your sleeves? Looks fantastic. -
Chapter Interlude: Assassin Interrupted
enemyone commented on Porter's City Journal Entry in Timbervale
Love how you threw Stalker in there, such an awesome song, and Louis XIV is an awesome band. Never saw the video though before, is it fan made? Not on Youtube. And awesome city man, really looks good. Love how you're incorporating a Real, Serious story to the whole thing, awesome job. -
Worst Polluted city and cleanest city

As for the dirtiest, I'd have to say Cleveland, as they managed to let their river catch on fire, which is sad... -
Worst Polluted city and cleanest city
enemyone replied to LironTheChick's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
Singapore, without a doubt is the cleanest city on Earth, bar none. I really don't think there's any competition when the media reports houses and buildings that are seen as dirty on the national media, Dirty Pig Awards and the like. I'd have to say that any city where dirt is essentially illegal would have to be a strong contender for the cleanest place on Earth, even going there is like stepping into a hospital, its VERY VERY CLEAN... -
The Capital of the World!
enemyone replied to spacenuteskimo's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
If ever they were to designate any existing city on this planet, short of going out into the ocean and dumping a bunch of dirt, I'd have to say somewhere in between all the continenents, make the world capitol Cape Verde or the Azores, somewhere where there is an intersection of cultures, language, wealth and history. Out of all the cities in the world, I would have to say either Instanbul, because it links the Eastern and Western world, or Baghdad, because it lies between Asia, Africa and Europe. And plus Iraq has existed for millennia, and was long a bastion of culture and knowledge prior to the recent oil wars. It would have to be somewhere in between everyone. Making NYC the capitol would cause an uproar everywhere else, same with London or Tokyo or Delhi or Singapore. And actually Singapore might not be a bad idea come to think of it.... -

What was your earliest memory of Sim City? First game I played was Sim City 2000, back on a computer the size of a car, back when taking ten minutes to start up was high-speed, and Windows 95 was the height of technological advancement... Loaded the game up, clicked a random map, and ended up with an island about 20 by 3 wide. But I was thrilled, my grandmother was helping me play, we were going along. A little town, a church popped up, then those orange condos, and a brown apartment. I was thrilled. And then a fire happened. And we had no idea what to do. I panicked (I hadn't even started kindegarten back then) and started getting upset. My grandmother scrolling though the menu saw something great. Something to make the fire go away. She clicked the flood button. And then the waters rose up and consumed the tiny island, which made me cry even more. She ended up going though all the disasters using one to get rid of the other, earthquake for the flood, monster for the earthquake... until all that was left of my first city ever was a pile of rubble. We still laugh about it today. How bout everyone else? Definately the best games ever though.

Looks great, definately reminds me a lot of the Prairies, with some Western Canada thrown in for good measure, and the suburbs remind me a lot of Barrie, ON. Great job though, really realistic, definately captures a lot of character.

Toronto's great. You can get anywhere for 2.75$ Thank god for the TTC, and transit links most of the metropolitan area together. Ive never been to New York, but it seems like it would be a nice place to visit, but not somewhere that would be really livable. Toronto's got a lot, I think one of the nicest things would be the number of parks and ravines. The cliffs in Scarborough are really nice. And the moraine is an interesting place to wander around in. And the Islands are cool too. Toronto's fun though, and its an interesting hegemony of cultures. You can travel between a dozen ethnic communites all within blocks of each other. Taste of the Danforth is definately the best though.

Which Canadian City do you think is the best??
enemyone replied to Urbandogg's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
And apparently Iqaluit has the only plastic tree for hundreds of kilometers and people come from miles around to come and gawk at the tree. Saw that on a Visit Nunavut commercial. Where its sunny forever!
