ed_diaz, Not to be hipocritical, but you really shouldn't be rancid about others creations. Try not to give others a hard time. BTW geoff could you do the Aon Cneter, as well as the AT&T Corporate Center? This would be great. Great once again -MTLT

MTLT- I am going to be releasing the Aon Center within the next few days (I just need to finish the lighting). I have also already started AT&T. More of Chicago's tallest will follow. BTW... thanks for the kind words alkoala... please don't bother downloading any of my future work.

i like your tower much more than ed's because the black roofs look a lot more natural than those eye-sore white roofs

ed... what the hell is your problem? I never ever said a word to you and then you came in here and starting talking ****. Why would people be feeling bad for me? Because you're being an ass? At any rate... whoever said the roof(s) of the Sears are white... you are sorely mistaken.

Frankly, I could care less whose model people prefer. I never uploaded this to be in competition with you, ed. I am gonna keep uploading whatever I want, and you can keep coming in here and bashing them if you want... won't make much diff to me. This will be the last post I make on the subject.

Okay, I lied, THIS is the last post. Alkoala, nobody's calling you an idiot (or ed for that matter). Apologies more than accepted. It's a dead issue.

sigh. well i tried. anyway, geoff, have you ever thought of posting in the forum? i mean, when you do these huge projects it's better to let the people see them while they're ''on the drawing boards". it helps out the final look of your building and helps it gain popularity = more downloads!

Ahh since we're done with the fighting... I can have real conversations :) Yeah Drew... it crossed my mind, but, I figured nobody would be interested in reading about a building being done by a newbie batter. I might do it for AT&T though since that's going to be a little tougher to replicate.

I think both of them are great models in their own right. It's not the first time the same building was released at nearly the same time (the Brazil landmark). Sears Tower is a popular building and I'm not suprised that more than one has modelled it.

I'm going to delete my Ed Diaz tower and replace it with the Geoff Diamond version, looks just as good, without all of the conceited attitude. I really can't beleive someone would actually have that kind of mentality, where did your parents go wrong?

Thanks echo, but, let's end all the nastiness from either side. We don't need this whole mess to start back up again.

I downloaded Geoff's tower only because I couldn'nt find the link to Ed's. His post directs to a url... that takes you back to the DIRECTIONS for the url. Ed's is nice in the preview, but geoffs has a different shade for the windows, which is a lovely touch. Nice work Geoff!

Is there much interest in an updated version with a few minor texture adjustments and new night-lighting? Or is the market for Sears Towers pretty much saturated?

Probably saturated. Maybe not perfect, but its a heck of a lot better than I could do...or most other people too. Lots of unnecessary criticism here...I am boycotting a certain person's files because of the nastiness

Very nice building Geoff. Being to scale is very important to me and I can use this one in my cities. Putting it next to the Chrysler and WTC towers (and several others that are to scale) it looks the right height. I'm looking forward to more of your work you seem to have alot of fun creating.
