About This File

Automated toll collection system for avenues and roads. No more stops and delays. No more fumbling for coins. Unlike conventional toll booths, the new system should not add to congestion due to its LE adjusted high transit capacity. It is also physically and visually non-cluttering, allowing you to build as many as you want throughout your city. The slightly exagerated height scale makes it easier to query the item amidst tall buildings.

Simcitizens are oblivious to toll tax: they don't complain nor do they avoid toll gates. So get rich on your people [evil smirk]. Zap....

RushHour required

Original BAT models & Custom Sound by Goldiva [GDV]

Modification & Risk: Low:

-custom sound added using 3rd party Ilive Reader

-mild changes to transit capacity using official Lot Editor

And please vote! :)

Wonderfulk idea!!!! Do they work exactly like the toll booths in the game, but without the delay? As someone else asked, will the toll disuade traffic? Highway versions coming, I hope!

Great. I don't want to ask of too much but could you make one just for a decoration for an avenue and make it a little differnt, if you don't want, you don't want to, don't want to demand too much.

This is like the 407 in Southern Ontario. The way this would work, is the driver will go to the Transit Autority, and get a tag, that goes in the top of the rearwindow or windshield. There are electronic sensors that read the information, and keep it stored in a computer...

... The computer sends the bill to the owner of the car. If it is a tourist, or somebody that doesn't have a tag, there are cameras that read the license plate on the vehicle. The computer system tracks it down, and sends the bill to the owner of the vehicle.

Absolutly Awsome, I like to block off my CBDs with toll boths to cut traffic (kinda like they do in Central London now). but I never wanted to cut down that much on traffic, or slow them that much, this will do WONDERS for me!!!!)

Great idea and congrats on your first lot. If possible could you reduce the height a little? Well done so far! :)

Thanks for your positive feedback and suggestion. Elevated highway version: thought about it but given how tedious it is to test gmax models, it'll probably take me a week to perfect. Using avenue/road toll booth at highwaty exit points is as effective in taxing your citizens.

This system works exactly like the Rushhour toll booth. The higher transit capacity does not add to traffic congestion. It does charge slightly higher toll fees than the original toll booth. Also, simcitizens don't avoid or complain abt simcity toll booths - so no ouch $ effect on them.

Great. I was thinking of doing this sometime in the future. We have this type of system in Melbourne and Singapore has the ERP system. The BAT detail is excellent too.

Good idea, which made me laughing. Do you know about the toll collect desaster in Germany?! Perhaps you call Daimler Crysler, because they need someone, who is able to construct a functional system ;-) Absolutely 11!

Excellent.... you could expand this some to make the electronic signs" you see on freeway everywhere now, and adapt them for elevated highways too.

Thanks a bunch for these! This saved my city from bankruptzy!!!! :):) You are my other her now! Btw, how do I get it to go over the avanue? I put it over the roads, since thats the only place I could put it, but the avanues would do the most revenue.
