Hope Fire Station 1.0

Bad texturing, building looks out of proportion, the ground textures are boring and did you take a screenshot with a camera?

Well at the very least you tried and every one has to begin somewhere. Something I would suggest is to look at Google for different real life buildings and then make your own based off the different buildings you find. It's a good place to start. Also the people around here can help you out in giving you all kinds of pointers.

Take what people are going to say regardless and use it to improve your skills.
Also look at other fire stations posted on here for good examples to base your own design off of.

Another thing that is important to do when listing a lot is to list the stats.

So do be discouraged and keep trying.

well, uuh, it's nothing but boxes
it can look good if you actually put some textures in it, my first bat was a box, with doors and windows as boxes to, and textures on them, and looked good
i think it would look very nice if you use textures
i suggest that you open a bat thread, you can use some advices and get some help to make a better one next time
nothing to judge since it's your first bat, so, maybe you'll make better ones next time, no one know it all

and as for your saying "NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS PLEAS", does that mean, that even you think that this bat is very bad? do you use it in your city?

(but i think it only deserves 2 stars, since i have seen much worse that deserve 1 star or even 0 if i can )

Next time you take a picture use the print screen button then open paint and paste. You will have a image that you can save and upload here.

Is not about negative comments its about constructive criticism. Saying something is terrible or fantastic well it doesn't add much besides to one selfsteam. Even that positive comments are good for motivational purposes when not accompanied with advice it could mislead to a false sense of comfort that things are good as they are and therefore there is no need to change or improve. On the same way negative comments are destructive so even when they come with constructive criticism the main message is just lost.

I'll be honest with you, this bat looks out of place to me. A building doesn't have to look dull like most Maxis buildings. Just have a look at the buildings on the former Netherlands Antilles, and some in Scandinavia.
Take the advice from the other here, use textures, place some cars on the lot so it looks like it's being used. What you allso can do is open a thread for advise (at the forum). Try to create a fire station as you know how they look in real life. You don't have to recreate one, but at least take details from real life fire stations and use them for your bat.

you expect everyone's creations to only have good comments? that's what modeling and BATting is about. you get criticism, improve what you did, and release a better one (e.g. proper textures, proportioned building, common sense, etc.). and if you're going to make a building like this then post the stats.. for all we know you can make it a nuclear power plant in disguise of a "fire station". 2/5

Next time take a screenshot, not a picture of your computer screen...

A Picture isn't important! It looks good for a first BAT. I can see first-timers doing that because they don't want to be dissapointed. Don't slam him beccause he doesn't know how to use Printscreen.

Nope, but they are the only countries I know with this kind of colourfull buildings. Besides... Scandinavia are 4 countries...

that is not a colorful building it is just a model with no materials or textures applied.
