About This File

On January 22, 2004, Santiago Calatrava unveiled his design for the transportation hub to be built at the World Trade Center site. The hub will sit at the northeast corner of the site at Church and Vesey Streets and is expected to form an underground connection between the World Financial Center and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's proposed Fulton Street Transit Center. Through it, pedestrians will have access to Hudson River ferry terminals, PATH trains, 14 subway lines, and, potentially, a direct rail link to JFK International Airport. By 2020, the Port Authority expects the hub to serve 250,000 commuters and visitors daily.

-Took it right out of an article found here: http://www.lowermanhattan.info/news/world_trade_center_transportation_63250.asp

update: some people wanted me to change the base so it is not slanted. since i did this i was also able to add the road that runs along the side of the base. in the updated picture you can see an ambulance on that road.

I believe a transport hub in France (I thought Lyon), looks a lot like this one, but then slightly larger. Also Calatrava. I really love Calatrava (in a good way). I would like more of him on simtropolis! Great......

well i like it very much, but i think it is too big. when you trying to create a realistic ground zero, it doesnt fit with the rest, becuase its just to big.

very good! 250,000 seems a lot but if you consider a city like london with subway (tube) use alone at 3million passengers per day you realise it isnt that much. but sims tend to prefer cars so this is perfecto!

I'm downloading this simply because it looks PHENOMENAL.

I doubt I'll ever find a practical use for it, except to perve at its marvel haha.
