CXL Unlocker Mod
version 3.0

First steps:
* Download the .zip from this page (click on "Download") and unpack it - you'll find a setup.
* As usual, remember to install the Moaku sandbox mod (latest version) and to remove any previous version of Unlocker!
* Run the installer.
* Choose your paks folder (Program Files > CitiesXL installation path > Paks)
* Choose features to install. See the "Content" section for more info.
* Read carefully the readme.txt included (Program Files > CitiesXL > Paks > Unlocker)
* Run the game and enjoy!
* Run again installer to add features.
* Manually remove features...

Not allowed mods:
* Any other unlocker is not supported by this mod, remove them. If you want to keep them, you should not report any bugs.

Known bugs:

(do not report these bugs, I already know them!)
* You need to unlock buildings everytime you enter the city.
* SkiLift, Telecabin and Telechair crashes when selecting.
* Error in railroad model.
* Using high settings (in the advanced panel) you'll see pedestrians everywhere on railroad.
* You can't destroy blueprints in the "normal way" (you have to select the building and then press the button [canc] or [delete] on your keyboard)

Content:
* Basic functions (required)
It contains all the basic files. Without them, you can't use the other functions.
* More Buildings (+ blueprint)
Unlock and Blueprint files are installed. You get more buildings and the working blueprint system.
* More buildings (blueprint as landmark)
Unlock file is installed. You get more buildings and blueprints as landmarks.
* GEM Beach
Gem mode menus are filled with Beach buildings. (you can use it with GEMSki)
* GEM Ski
Gem mode menus are filled with Ski buildings. (you can use it with GEMBeach)
* More Maps
PO maps added. Deselect it if you're using the PakUnpak region mod.
* Medieval Pack
Unlocks pack menu and the medieval buildings.
* Train add-on
Adds railroad models.
* Avatar studio
Adds Avatar Studio and Avatar visit mode.

* Unlock buildings button in cheat menu.
* Relock buildings button in cheat menu.
* Increased "expert mode" effect.
* Fully functional blueprints.
* Blueprints as landmarks.

Further developement:

The last, big release of this mod is near. Version 4 will be relased as soon as I get CitiesXL 2011. The 2009 edition will include some code fix from 2011 version. While a new edition, 2011 only, is planned.
One or more patches will be released, mainly to fix railroad bugs.

History:
August 2009: First Menu mod released by Nilo in CXL Beta forums. Most of the features and ideas are implemented for the first time here.
October 2009: After the release of my first mod, I've been contacted and "enlightened" by Moaku...
November 2009: When Monte Cristo banned unpacked mods, a "black period" started for modding. Some mods were released, at CitiesXs... but most of the experts
disappeared in few months.
June 2010: First RePacker tool released, modding starts again! First release of the Unlocker Mod. For buyable content reason, the second version is out in three
weeks. Kiwispanker releases a quick fix too.
July 2010: Simtropolis contacts Focus... The unlocker mod is officially approved.
August 2010: Third release of the Unlocker Mod

I have Unlocker version 2. If i remove that, and i install this one, i keep everything? (+ the extra's from this version?) Sorry for bad english :P

I did all the steps of the installation, but i can't go in my city. The game crash. My mods : - Level of bridges - New plaza v1 and v1.1 - trees mod - Australians roads - Remove magnetism - Grass mod - Statues Mod - Conices Mod - deciduous trees mod - poplar road mod - palmtree road mod - plopable boat - advanced customs options - exotics trees mod - Sandbox mod - Unlock V2.2 by Exalight - mod missing build - mod kiev - mod colleg - mod titanic - And CXL Unlocker V3 What are the bad mods ?

@Paquet: i don't know much about CXL and mods there but i read that you need to remove the "Unlock V2.2 by Exalight" to run it without problems :) meister

In case this happens to anyone else... I dont know if this is just windows 7 users, but it installs the Paks to its own folder, not in the citiesxl>paks directory...to fix it, just move or move the files from the sep. folder (it is called Cities XL by itself, not Monte Cristo) in the pak part of that into the monte cristo>citiesxl>pak directory.

Globexco: You & the rest of the great modding community have saved Cities XL from oblivion and, in the meantime, might have saved Cities XL2011 as well, because this unlocker will get a lot of us back in the game. I, as costumer, simply can't thank You enough for this extraordinary piece of work. This is, a clear example of the empowerment of the users in the web 2.0!!!

Thank you all! 1. you should run the installer as admin, and remember to select the right paks folder during installation 2. Your city got corrupted by the Unlocker of Exalight... there's nothing to do. To use the Unlocker Mod v3, restart a new city... To use that city, uninstall the Mod v3...

the whole mod is not appearing, i have installed the latest moaku mod and deleted all other mods (including the previous unlocker)????

when i build the beach buildings and generator, the buildings has a big sign of a red electric sign. when i click, no info. looks like its out of electrivcity
