About This File

Note:  This map is not meant to be political.  I have long been fascinated by this image and when I was a kid I didn't know the politics behind it.

Whenever I see a two-tone portrait, I don't just see a face--I see land masses.  So I downloaded probably the most famous two-tone portrait and using the Gimp I converted it into a map.  Since I don't like flat maps, I also gave it some texture.  Thanks to the industrious sims, you can build almost anywhere there is land.  Bridges work well but you'll probably have to do some land tweaking yourself if you want boats.  I found only a few places where I could put a dock when I played this map.

This region is made up of four large cities and eight small cities.  The unzipped file contains a greyscale and a config.bmp, requiring no additional files, assuming you have SimCity4.  See my first upload, "Heart Isles" if you need more information on how to add a downloaded map to your region files.

@Cleaner475: Thanks Richard. @SurgeFan: Thanks. Even in the case of my artistic maps if it doesn't play, it doesn't stay.

I know you didn't post this to be political, but this man is evil. Che was a Cuban Revolutionary who was responsible for the deaths of thousands of people. He was a military leader who put fear into the lives of many Cubans. He also took part in the Cuban Missile Crisis. I'm not going to demand that you take the map down, because I am normally the one to tell people to suck it up. I am just saying that the man's face is kind of offensive to some people. Good job making the map though.

Che Guevara WAS NOT Cuban, he was an Argentinian who joined Castro's guerrilla movement and was placed by Castro upon his rise to power in charge of the Havana fortress in which he ordered the execution of numerous innocent lives who disagreed with the regime. How do I know this? I know my country's history.

I don't really care to get into a debate about this but @teedeecee he definitely did not only kill people who wanted to control Cuba. He killed many civilians. @jt83 I agree with you. I know he came to Cuba. I said he was a Cuban Revolutionary because he came to Cuba to assist in a revolution. I did my research on him after seeing him on a tee shirt.

Finally, a 3d picture that I can see without staring like a look for 20 minutes in a mall. Seriously though, good job. It makes for an interesting map.

I think it is actually a cool map. Good for port cities. Cuban history and the cold war is also interesting too. :thumb:
