About This File

This pack adds 43 classic VW type 2 transporters to your city traffic. The models used for these all use Rivit's VW Kombi as a base, modifications were made by me for the campers, and the pickups.

Contents: There are 6 colors of each of the first and second generation microbus, these are all two-tone (with the cream white top), and come in red, orange, yellow, green, blue and black. The first generation busses come in two types, standard (with 15 windows), and deluxe versions (23 windows with a ragtop). The second generation busses come in two types, standard (13 windows) and deluxe (21 windows with a ragtop). There are also 5 first generation delivery vans (doors on both sides of the van) in red, blue, orange, grey and white. 7 second generation campers with pop-tops and roofracks, in blue, green, yellow, orange, red, white and tan. 5 first generation, single-cab pickup trucks in white, grey, red, orange and blue, there are also two pickups with a canvas bed canopy, one white and one blue. Some of the colors are a bit different between models, for variety.

Installation: Just unzip the contents of the zip file into your plugins folder, following the folder structure in the zip file. You must install the file VW_Type_2_Shared.dat, the individual vehicle files are all optional. Refer to the enclosed jpeg for examples of the window styles. All the microbusses are named according to their window configurations: '23win', '21win', '15win', or '13win' are used along with their color in the file name. Likewise the campers, delivery vans and pickups are named accordingly, the two with canopies have 'canopy' in their name.

Thanks to Rivit for letting me use his kombi model!

Pack two is in the works, and will include the late model busses, campers and double-cab pickups.

I have a lot of automata installed besides my creations, and installing all of these has not swamped my traffic with them, I recommend you install them all, then see how it looks before you thin a few out of your plugins. For me they show up just a bit less than my Beetles.

Enjoy!
