I like this idea! I've seen this in real life (except i could carry the pieces around). I get exercise in my brain and in body!

Well, Honestly I think it's intended for a sculpture for a park. With some touch-ups, it could become a fantastic idea for a city park or plaza.

Guys, this is just a base, not the final product. It I think its a great idea for uploading a base of a chess board. 5/5!

No gmaxfile added as said, but a .tga file (don't know what this does tho) The lot is a gigantic 6x6 and the walls are higher than a van........In other words: Oversized way beyond reality.

mrbisonm is right - look at the size of the pieces compared to the avenue in the right picture - the pawns and rooks and bishops are taller than the trees. Vastly oversized. I like chess, and I get the "novelty" of this, but I can't see myself ever using it in any of my cities...

I think this could be similar to " public art" places that you find in most cities nowadays...not bad at all
