About This File
IMPORTANT - YOU MUST READ THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO UNZIPPING. YOU WILL NOT BEABLE TO USE THESE SIGNS UNLESS PROPERLY INSTALLED!
ALSO – THOSE WHO DOWNLOADED THE SIGNS BETWEEN 06/06/09 – 06/07/09
I have updated the original zip file. The older zip has additional signs which will not plop. The "DAMN" menu has been updated so only the EBSigns will appear. To delete the other signs, you must go to your "C:\ProgramFiles\Maxis\SC4\Plugins\DAMN\Root\HighwaySigns" folder and delete "signs.dat" This will get rid of the older menu, oh and make sure your regenerate the list by running the DAMN-Indexer.cmd program mentioned in the installation instructions.
These are the Highway 4 Eastbound Signs. I will release this set on the STEX but the rest are MINE ![]()
They include...
-- Night Lighting
-- Over 24 Signs
-- Lotted to fit GHW, RHW4, RHW6, RHW Inside and Outside Lanes, Diagnal RHW's-Avenues-GHW's.
-- American Standard Interstate Style Directional SignPost
-- Urbanised Gantry
-- High Detail Readable Signs
-- Organised Menu - Read Instructions for details
The Highway Signs are configured to use the "DAMN-Menu Lots". They will NOT APPEAR in your standard menu and this is done to conserve space and not clutter your menu's aswell as organize the signs.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Step1 - Hwy4EBSigns.dat and Hwy4EBxml.dat can be extracted into your Mydoc's SimCity 4 Plugin Folder.
Step2 - "DAMN-Menu.zip" however MUST be opened and extracted into your C:\ SimCity 4 Plugin Folder, if this is not done then you will not be able to use these signs. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT DRAG AND CLICK THEM INTO THE SC4 FOLDER! SELECT "EXTRACT" AND EXTRACT INTO YOUR PLUGIN FOLDER OF YOUR C:\ SC4 Game
Step3 - Go into your C:\ SC4 Plugins folder and select the "DAMN" folder, go into "Support" and then select "DAMN-Indexer.cmd" and it will do the rest.
Failure to follow step 2 and 3 will result in you NOT being able to plop the signs as they are not in the standard menu!
To access the signs, open your news tickers and scroll down to the very bottom where you will find something that says, "Open additional menu's" select that, and then select "Highway 4" and then select "Eastbound" - you will find the signs there.
