About This File

UPDATED: I fixed all problems, donload and replace old one. This is a larger version of the original convention center. I think it looks alot better in a downtown area than the original.

It also leases the land from the city, so it pays $1000 a month rent.

Plop cost - $35,000; Bulldoze - $3,500; Same basic effects as the original. Enjoy!

Update: I have taken out the tower behind the center to give it more realism. Thanks for all the comments.

Yea this is a very VERY nice lot, and I agree with joerg, that high-rise should not be there. But I gave this a 10 because its really nice! Great job!

Modify away! I put that there because it hides the rear entrance of the original center. If you modify and put something else that looks better, let me know. thanks for the comment.

hmm i cant open it in the LE it says im missing files. Now i have the RH prop pack from maxis and i have all the original prop packs i think. Could it be those flags?

It must be the flags, because the RH prop pack has the Euro set, doesn't it? Otherwise try that.

i got the flags and found that in the game for some reason the roofs are missing on only your building but i have my own building that uses thoses large glass roofs and it has them still. So thats very wierd.

I like those round hanger-type roofs. I'm glad you use those roofs from the original. But I'm not sure about that dubious cigarette box building that is jutting out, though. As a convention center doe it really serve a purpose...in terms of architectural functionality.

This looks much more like a convention center then the one the game originally had, I really like it.

Thanks for all the comments! Joerg - The only thing I can suggest is to try re-making the building from scratch and see if that one works in the game, sorry it doesn't work for you. Ken - The building in the front is one of the small Euro $$CO buildings. It is one of my favorites. Thanks again.

I think i figured it out you didnt use the official maxis prop vo1.dat to make the building you used the original simtrop one. Unfortunetly i cant find this .dat so if you could be so kind as to email it to me at jrgeske@cox.net i would apprecitate it alot.

I have gotten a couple of comments about problems with the query tool and crashes. I will locate the problem and update. Sorry, I know what a pain it is when the game crashes.

I love your design but for some reason when i place it i just get the main regular building and the parking and grasslots...not the side parts i wanted. Is the wrong version up there or something?

Alkaola - That is why I updated the lot a few days ago. It now works correctly, so download the new one. The problem was that it used the old bldg prop files. The new ones destroyed the old lots. But, again, it now works fine.
