About This File

This region of various terrain elements features a steep, jagged ridge, a few high mountain peaks, a dormant [for now] volcano, low bluffs and mesas.  Nestled in between are fertile valleys with a large lake and rivers plus their tributaries.   This map was hand drawn using Paint and the size is 1537x1537.  Make sure to read the info below for rendering instructions.  Any comments and feedback welcomed.  Thanks for looking and enjoy.

READ THIS BEFORE RENDERING!!!

I used 3 mods to render this map:

1. Timotheus4 Water Pack 2 for the navy blue water color.

2. Snow-Capped/Arctic Terrain Mod - By Teirusu for the snow-capped peaks.

3. MallowTheCloud's plugin pack

Download config here.  [Just remember to re-name the file to config.bmp]

1) Place the 100m.dat plugin in your plugins folder, and remove any other height mod plugins.

2) Create a new folder called Map 53 in your ...My Documents/SimCity 4/Regions directory.

3) Download the config.bmp file and place it in the new folder [remember to rename the file to config from config53]

4) Download the Map053.jpg file and remember where you downloaded it to.

5) Run your SimCity 4 game

6) Open the Map 53 Region

7) On your keyboard, press and hold down 'ctrl' + 'alt' + 'shift' + 'r'--this should bring up a dialogue box

8) Browse to the folder that you downloaded Map053.jpg to, find "Map053.jpg ", and open this file.

9) This should start the rendering. BE PATIENT. This will likely take between20 and50 minutes.

10) Have fun!

Looks awesome blade. Wish i had the time to create maps like this. All i can do is paint them. I just don't have the time anymore... =\

Tommy - Trick is, work on a hand-drawn map when time allows, even if it's for only a half hour or so. It's what I do.
