About This File
Created from USGS data of the Apostle archipelago of northern Wisconsin. This group of 22 islands lies in Lake Superior off the tip of the Bayfield penninsula. They feature craggy brownstone shores, red sand beaches, and many lighthouses.
This region is at a little less than half scale, as the archipelago is more than 30 miles wide. Three of the easternmost islands are excluded. The headland to the southwest is the Bayfield penninsula.
This is my first region made from USGS data. Feedback would be appreciated.
