About This File
This region is my home town Innisfail the region is 36x34 km.
Trivia
The site of the recent Cyclone Cyclone Larry in feb 2006. Ths area has a number of features that would mitigate the impact of any cyclone/hurricane namely the barrier hills and the swamp directly behing the hills and the signifigant mountains further inland. comparing this to New Orleans USA you can see the difference. The mountain in the map is mount Bartle Frere and stands at 1622 m it is the tallest mountain in Quensland.
This area grows 95 percent of the national bannana crop as well as a variety of other tropical fruits and has a largish sugar industry. There is also a push for tourism here and the great barrier reef is just off this map.
Plugins
You can use either mallows plugins or my own erosion control set that has been recently updated at the time of uploading this. THe relevant files for topographic sacle are NE2000m.dat, QE2000m.dat, 2E2000m.dat and 2000m.dat.
This map was rendered using Pegasus weathered sandstone rock mod though a bassalt texture is more appropiate.
