About This File

This is a map of Phoenix, AZ. It is scaled accurately. It is 44 by 40 km.

Instructions (very important note below):

If you don't have my plugins pack, download it here.

1) Place the 1500m.dat plugin in your plugins folder, and remove any other height mod plugins... thanks to Andy80586 and lookinin for helping me create the mods.

2) Create a new folder called Phoenix in your ...My Documents/SimCity 4/Regions directory.

3) Download the config.bmp file and place it in the new folder

4) Download the Phoenix1500.jpg file and remember where you downloaded it to.

5) Run your SimCity 4 game

6) Open the Phoenix Region

7) On your keyboard, press and hold down 'ctrl' + 'alt' + 'shift' + 'r'--this should bring up a dialogue box

8) Browse to the folder that you downloaded Phoenix1500.jpg to, find "Phoenix1500.jpg", and open this file.

9) This should start the rendering. BE PATIENT. This will likely take between 25 minutes and 1 hour.

10) Have fun!

Hi! Here is the error message in my game; region generation error - region bitmap size is incorrect--2817x2561, should be 1025x1025. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Please, can you help me? I would like a larger lot than 256x256. Does exist config to increase the size of the lot in the map? (sorry my enghish is horrible ) Many thanks.

Hi alaya56. The first thing is that you need to make sure the config.bmp file is in the correct region folder before you try to import the region. The second thing is that, unfortunately, the largest city size is 256x256 tiles.

Hi MallowTheCloud. I followed the instructions (in my documentos\simcity4\region I opened area Phoenix and I put 1500.jpg and the config; in My documents\Simcity4\plugins put 1500m.dat and import.data). It's correct? Thank you for the attention.

This looks very good indeed. I've never done a desert region before, but we'll give it a look.

any idea why it appears entirely blank in the region level, but then if i select to start a city in any section it works just fine and the mountains etc are there?

after some research, i've found that full screening (i was running windowed mode) and not letting it have any interruptions (i.e. screensaver) will solve this sort of issue other than so far not being able to see it in region view, it looks fantastic! can't wait to rebuild PHX from the ground up
