I think what you mean is the proportions are accurate. The scale is definately not accurate or the map would be way too big for any pc to run.

There is a lot of seas. I would normally get rid of the unnecessary tiles (like the areas were there is only water) in my config.bmp.

pretty nice.and taking away the north sea would be stupid if you are going to recreteate the whole scandinavia(gotta love it!). the northsea is full of oil rigs.

The rendering is excellent, Justin. But I don't think that this is scale-accurate. This region is around 18 by 18 km, which is an area certainly not bigger than rhode island.

Scandinavia is impossible to fit on my screen at a scale of 1 to 1 ............ This is a game, true accuracy of anything, is impossible to achieve. Not even a conventional atlas is accurate, at the very best it is a graphical, two dimensional, REPRESENTATION.

The category of accurate scale maps is rather ambiguous. This map is a 99% accurate scaled down map of a 100% undisputedly accurate satellite image. The scale used by SC4 however is a lot smaller. So this map and hundreds of other "accurate" maps on the STEX are not compliant with the scale of SC4.

But then neither are the vast majority of BATS and Lots on the STEX ........ this is a game, pure fantasy - accept it.

How many times have you seen 30 foot giant people walking past the local store in SC4, or a 40 foot giant who supposedly works in a mall with a 40 foot roof ???? Accuracy ??? Non existant in SC4.
