About This File

Requested by KingJobs, here is the Albuquerque, NM.  The cityitself is shifted slightly West so that I could capture the mountainrange to the East.

My preview of this region is presented using Teirusu's  Desert/Plains terrain mod.

This is a very large region at 40km by 36km or 10x9 large cities, but will be available shortly in pre-rendered format.

Toovercome height limitations in the games import system, this map hasbeen designed for use with a variation on Andy80586's Higher Mountainmod, which should be in your plugins directory during the import. (Unnecessary for pre-rendered regions, but you'll need it if you everwant to render with the included greyscale)
Get the mod here.

Thanks go to Andy80586 & MallowTheCloud for their work on these mods!

Please post any requests to the Official Mapp Squad Requests forum thread.

Visit my Simtropolis/Mapp Squad forum thread for larger previews, questions or support for released maps, or just to see what I'm working on.

For more information regarding the Mapp Squad, please see our ST forum.

Ihave no concerns about copyrights for my maps, so you may use them asyou wish, but I would appreciate a credit or a thanks if you use themin any public fashion.  This may not apply to all Mapp Squad maps- please check with each individual author for more information.

Thanks, and enjoy your new region!  Comments & suggestions are always welcome!

Note:I've noticed sometimes that SC4 doesn't want to import my maps afteryou select it in the dialog - After renaming them to a shorter namesuch as "test.jpg", it seems to work fine - so if you have troubleimporting, you might want to try that.

Great Map! Is it possible to make a modificated version of the Desert Terrain Mod so that also the low terrain by the water has this reddisch texture?

I believe that the river was build over and now runs benieth the city. That's what happened here in Las Vegas, and in Los Angeles they turned it into a river wash :D

Thanks lookinin! This is great! BTW, the river (Rio Grande) in Albuquerque was never built on and actually it is the Bosque State Park. Only a bridge or two to Rio Rancho is allowed there.
