  1. Police in North Dakota to get Drones with Tasers

    What could go wrong?
  2. Preventing takeover by AI.

Better add it to the Three Laws of Robotics and make it the Four Laws.
  3. Assets Not Loading

Good that you found the problem. Unfortunate that you have to keep it turned on though. The mod author has some work to do it seems. Might be one of those things where you have to remove all instances of the asset before things work properly again.
  4. Assets Not Loading

Did you download anything or change any settings right before this started happening?
  5. Cities: Skylines - After Dark reveals completely reasonable price

The Paradoxplaza link gave me a 404 error. This is pretty exciting. I guess I'll have to see all the content that this expansion comes with before I decide to buy it. By "official" if you mean something with a price tag then yes. But there is also the Euro theme DLC that added a wave of content to build European-themed cities for free.
  6. EndCiv: A post-apocalyptic city builder

So it's kind of like Banished, but in a post-apocalyptic setting. I guess I'd enjoy something like that if it came out.
  7. Show us your Downtown/CBD

Welcome to Ashihabara. I used a combination of free-camera and the isometric camera mod. The textures look terrible because the isometric camera changes the LOD from normal. Even though my settings are maxed. Still developing the other side of the river. I have a lot of sprawl to the bottom, left and right off-camera.
  8. I found a mod today that adds a zoneable pedestrian-style "street". It looks like the pedestrian paths in the recreation menu so it doesn't have any lanes, sidewalks or crosswalks. But it's still 2 tiles wide. One lane streets would be great though. When I build, I try replicating Japanese cities. Having narrow streets is a critical part of that.
  9. Weekly Challenge #15 - Cities: Skylines

This is the only pic I've taken so far of any of my cities in the game. Took it earlier today to show a friend. Ashihabara
  10. Paradox Shatters sales record on Cities Skylines

I'm glad there are still studios around that know how to make a good city-builder. I'm really enjoying this game and it doesn't look like I'll be stopping too soon.
  11. Cities Skylines review: This is the SimCity you were looking for

Bought, downloaded and started playing yesterday morning right after it was unlocked on Steam. Fantastic game. This is definitely the (3D) city builder I've been waiting for. Already proving better than other games. The release isn't botched with controversy and people completely unable to play the game they bought. I can play without an Internet connection and the city sizes are far larger than that other game. I greatly appreciate the work that Paradox has done for the city-building community. Extremely grateful. I love what they've done. The game is relaxing and I can lose myself in it for hours. I also like the building system they have. You zone buildings and people build and move in. But then the building will upgrade over time to something better and more efficient than the last one. This is a rather unique approach to handling wealth classes. The only peeves I have with this game are the garbage collection speed and the lack of turning lanes and merge lanes for highways. But like with almost anything in a game, it can be fixed with mods. Other than that, this is the best city-building experience I've had since my heavily modded SC4.
  12. Springsteen - A Cities: Skylines CJ

It comes out March 10th.. tomorrow. Well at least tomorrow for me. You can buy it digitally from Steam or the Paradox website. Alternatively I hear it's also being sold as a boxed game, like as a physical CD. Feels strange to say that but apparently it's true. You could probably buy it in stores where video games are sold.
  13. She sights a Bird — she chuckles —

I see there's a little development going on across the wider river next to New SorGun.  Are there plans yet to bridge the river mouth?
  14. New SorGun Recap

    My body is ready.
  15. Cities: Skyline; A new City Simulator Announced By Paradox

In the images I see a lot of repeating structures. The flexibility of the roads looks pretty solid though and the map sizes seem to be quite large to say the least. Please, let this game be up to par with our expectations, because I'm expecting a lot of good things. I'll gladly pay money for this. And the fact that Paradox is willing to put money into the city-building simulator market is great as well. Needs fresh blood.
