This is a set of lots which will allow you to add rapid exit taxiways (RETs) to your custom airports. Like my 48m-wide runway lots, I created this set to be compatible with existing custom airport content, specifically those found in RMIP. There are lots for both 32m and 48m runways. In real life, rapid exit taxiways are linked to runways and allow aircraft to exit at high speed. They are common in most commercial airports, and as such you can easily look to satellite photos to learn realistic ways to use these lots. In the attached file, the lots come in two sub-sets: fixed and modular. Fixed RETs are designed for a specific spacing between a parallel runway and taxiway. They come pre-fabricated, and just need to be plopped down as three puzzle pieces. There is a five tile spacing, and a six tile spacing version for both types of runway. Obviously, this does not offer much in terms of versatility or customization. The reason I've included these is that the taxiways are built at a 22.5 degree angle. While this prevents modularity, it does make these lots compatible with the aircraft props currently being produced by @Barroco Hispano, so if you'd like to decorate these lots with taxiing planes you can do that. Still, I understand that users might find these less useful, so I kept them in their own folder. Feel free to remove it. The other subset is modular. As implied, these RETs have repeatable tiles, and can be expanded out indefinitely. They work for runways and taxiways separated by six tiles or more. Also included in this set are fractional angle taxiways. These use the same rapid exit tiles, but allow you to connect them with turns to orthogonal or diagonal taxiways. This creates something like a taxiway version of the FA road system. For improved usability, I've also included helper props to guide how to orient each tile. I didn't make custom-angled props, so they're all still at 45 degrees. Just know that wherever they point to on the edge of the tile, that's where the centerline of the taxiway is. Finally, the large size of these lots creates some problems for custom runways. Namely, if you're following the design guide provided with RMIP Volume 1, you may need to place TDZ markings on a spot now covered by the RET lot. To help with this, I've included some unused textures that will allow you to customize the lots and place runway markings as needed. An example of the results can be seen below. It's not the most elegant or convenient solution, but it does provide a bit more versatility if you desire it. In the included texture file, these additional textures start at 0xF92C5455. ------------------------------------------------------- DEPENDENCIES -RMIP (Vol. 1-4) sets by Voltaire -48m Runway set by me -AC MEGA Props Volume 2 ------------------------------------------------------- Thanks to @Scaley McSlitherfor the helpful beta testing on this. -
When I place any runway/taxiway piece in the game and want to place another of the same i have to go back to the airport menu and select it again and o it for other pieces the same way. If I remember before that I did not have to do this only until I hit the ESC key. essay writer Am I wrong about this or has it always been like this? I am using the RIMP SAE mods.

Modifying runway and taxiway with road modding tool
Leeijo posted a topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
Has anyone tried if it is possible to modify the runway and taxiway with the new road modding tool? At first sight when I tried it in the editor it is not possible, those networks don't appear. But by an accident I found that if I load the editor up with an airport asset and then from there create a new road I can select both the runway and taxiway. In the editor it seems to work, removing all the lights looks good but it fails to load in game however. Perhaps this isn't supposed to be doable since they are not available directly (bug)? Or could it be that it fails to load because of loading screen only? Haven't had the time to try the "normal" way. These are just thoughts, but I wanted to shout them out in case there was anyone else who discovered this or find it interesting. -

Taxiway Marking Improvement Pack Volume 2 Menu Management Lots This package contains Menu Management Lots (MMLs) for TMIP Volume 2. Three different MMLs are included: zzz_FAF_TMIP2_Dark_GatesLettersArrows_MML.dat - Terminal letters, gate numbers, and directional arrows on the dark ramp texture. zzz_FAF_TMIP2_Light_GatesLettersArrows_MML.dat - Terminal letters, gate numbers, and directional arrows on the light ramp texture. zzz_FAF_TMIP2_Dark_Roads_MML.dat - All of the PLT-ARP and SCAG-ARIP roads on the dark ramp texture. When this package is installed, the lots will no longer appear on the menu. To make them appear, build the MML lot in your city. After approximately one game month, the TMIP lots will appear in the Airport menu. To hide the icons again, bulldoze the MML lot and reload your city. Dependencies TMIP Volume 2 -

Taxiway Marking Improve Pack, Volume 2 Project lead, additional overlay textures, lots, and modding by fafalone Ramp textures by AC Team Road overlays from PLT's Airport Roads and ShadeSlayer's Airport Road Improvement Project Introduction The Taxiway Marking Improvement Pack Volume 2 (TMIP2) is a large expansion of first volume, encompassing many lots in several categories. This once again greatly expands the level of detail you can make with RMIP2-style taxiways and airports. Included Dark ramp conversion of PLT's ARP project Dark ramp conversion of ShadeSlayer's SCAG-ARIP project Centered terminal-over-road piece to fit some gate lots Dark ramp conversion for diagonal terminal building lots Additional vehicle boundary options for both light and dark ramps Taxiway stop points for all types (dark, light, apron, and green) Large terminal letters (A through F) for both light and dark ramps Directional arrows (N, NW, W, SW, S, SE, E, and NE) for both light and dark ramps Gate numbers (1 through 20) for both light and dark ramps 3 types of airport equipment yard lots, for both light and dark ramps Addition ramp filler pieces (2x2, 3x3, and 4x4) for both light and dark ramps Individual lotted airport vehicles on light ramps, dark ramps, light roads, and dark roads: ----Tugs (6 types) ----Hose Truck ----LD3 Baggage Carts (4 types) ----Stair trucks (2 types) ----Airport Fire Truck ----Catering Truck Usage Note The installation is divided into main folders for each category, and within each of those folders all lots are present individually. You can delete any category folder or individual lot that you do not need without effecting the rest of the install (just don't delete the "core" files, FAF_TMIP_Vol2_Core.dat, and FAF_TMIP2_Roads_Core.dat if using either road set). Dependencies AC MEGA Textures Vol01 AC MEGA Props Vol02 SCAG Mega Dependency #1 SCAG Mega Dependency #2 BriPizza Ground Handling Props Set A BriPizza Ground Handling Props Set B BSCBATProps RT SNM Vol01 Note that while technically not required, this package doesn't make much sense without the projects it's expanding: TMIP Volume 1, PLT's Airport Roads (ARP), and SCAG Airport Roads Improvement Project (ARIP). -

I hadn't originally intended to upload this, but since many users requested I do, I am doing so. It is therefore not exactly "high-quality", but it was never intended to be uploaded again, so I'm sorry about that . There are no nightlights for this BAT (yes, I know how to nightlight a BAT), but I didn't feel it was necessary for this specific structure. You may find the lot in the Metro-Menu, under Transportation. (Required-Brown Box) Dependencies: WTC TRANSIT HUB http://community.sim...tc-transit-hub/ (Used for "Building" portion of lot, in the Lot Editor) (Suggested-Not Necessary, But Helpful) Dependencies: http://sc4devotion.c...php?lotGET=1544 (You will need to have a LEX account to obtain this) The lot is currently on a grassy texture, and there is no plane on it due to copyright restrictions. The avenue is fully transit enabled. Feel free to edit this in the Lot Editor by searching for: "Taxiway Over Avenue...." To add a plane, select the prop you wish to add in the Lot Editor and raise the plane using "Ctrl+Shift+UP ARROW". Take care guys, 10000000000000 (First Upload btw, woohoo ) * Mod update: Screenshot image replaced by CaptCity. Thanks to @SIM-ple Jack for pointing it out.
