History: Forrest Sherman was laid down by the Bath Iron Works Corporation at Bath, Maine, on 27 October 1953, launched on 5 February 1955 by Mrs. Forrest P. Sherman, widow of Admiral Sherman and commissioned on 9 November 1955, Commander R. S. Crenshaw in command. After a year of initial training and fitting out, Forrest Sherman arrived at her home port, Newport, R.I., 15 January 1957. Two days later she sailed for Washington, D.C., where she was open for public visiting during the week of the second inauguration of President Dwight D. Eisenhower. From Newport, Forrest Sherman sailed on training and fleet exercises along the east coast and in the Caribbean, until the summer of 1957, when she took part in the midshipman cruise to South America and the International Naval Review in Hampton Roads on 12 June. Specs: The file contains an 11x2 lot. You can plop in the water or on the ground (You can also use MMP under or around the model). Night: Maxisnite & Darknite (Choose only one) You can find the building in the Lot Editor as: AGC_Destroyers_USS_Forrest-Sherman_DD-931_1958_V01_90 Ubication: Water transportation. Icon: Scale of the models: 133% on all axes. A set of US Navy ships to use as part of a puzzle-piece navy base. Included are a Nimitz class aircraft carrier, an Arleigh Burke class Flight IIA destroyer, and a Fleet Replenishment Oiler. All ships are designed to be placed next to existing industrial style waterfronts. A brow comes off each ship and extends off the lot to provide sim sailors access. All lots show up in the seaport menu (below the SNM navy lots (not required) if you happen to have them). All lots are meant to be eye candy only and have negligible game functionally. Dependencies None! The ships look good placed next to CDK, SNM, and NBVC waterfronts, but none are required. Installation Just download and unzip/extract in your Plugins folder. You can delete any ships (model and lot file) for any you don’t want. Notes on Usage To properly place a ship next to a pier, follow the instructions in the readme (or if you are like me, just figure it out by trial and error! It isn't hard). -

WARNING! ONCE YOU HAVE SAVED WITH IT IN YOUR CITY, IT WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE WITHOUT SHOWERING YOUR CITY IN RADIATION. This lot is like a 1x1 maxis plaza, found in the landfill menu. This is the Radiation Destroyer (WITH NO DEPENDENCIES!!!) that will fix any radiation qualms in your cities. Please read the big red text, and find it in your LANDFILL menu. It looks 100% like a MAXIS plaza, but takes away 10000 units of atomic activity. (Approx. 5000 toxic waste dumps. That's enough right?) Don't remove it from your cities after saving or the 10000 units of radiation will actually flood back to the 64 tiles it was removed from, even if there was no radiation beforehand. (Technical Note: This is due to a technical bug in the game where tiles with minus radiation will reset to 0, and then removal of this lot will force it up to 10000. Don't worry, as long as it isn't removed from the city, all it's 64 tiles of effect will stay at 0, even with a radiation source.) wall of text there, and yes I did break my rule of no more uploads on the STEX, because this was too awesome. And more are coming!
