So the nominations have been announced... For the 79th Neighbourly Kingdom Games. As of yesterday each city has released it's proposed logo's for the games. The competition is hotting up as the commitee of the games prepares to start it's scoring process in each city. Just to remind you, here are the nominations: Yolanda (Lindblum) Rozarrio (Romaria) Burmecia City (Burmecia) Pinnacle (Lindblum) RC of Alexandria (Alexandria) Each location will now face an inspection. The commitee will score on various subjects such as crime levels, transportation, gpd, pollution etc. Here are the official logo's proposed by each city. Which one do you prefer?

So I thought I'd post a few more pics of the Plateau so that you can get to know the area a bit more. Cheers for the comments about the rail maps and the photo's etc hope the next one's are okay. First heres a picture of the Link Map again so you can see where we are. The Plateau only has access to the Royal Cliff Line (The purple one). The loop section at the top covers most of the plateau. Below is The Royal Front Gate and station. The station on the other side of the gate is Garnet Place The next picture shows the area surrounding Outer Wall Station. You can also see the East Gate. This are has many offices, shops and apartments. The church in the forground isbe The image below shows Garnet Sq in the bottom right. To the left of Garnet Square is Garnet College of the Univeristy. In the top right is King Hollosal Memorial Statue. The building in the centre is Hollasal Library of the University. Below is more of Hollosal Square. The colum on the left was built by Queen Garnet and is called Hope Colum. It is dedicated to the The Last Hope. The building in front of it is The Last HopeCollege of the University. King Hollasal Sq is just to the left of the colum. Below is St Ramuh College and the church just below it is St Rumah Chapel. St Ramuh Station on the Link is just in front. The image below shows the section of the Royal Cliff Link situated on the plateau. Alexander Colum is shown below. To the left is part of Alexandria Palace. The River Bahamut runs through this area. Below is a close up of S Ramuh Chapel The Royal Front Gate showing Garnet Sq in the top left.

Next stop is Garnet Square This is the most famous square in the entire kingdom. It pays tribute to Princess Garnet XVII. When she became Queen she initiated the peace time between Alexandria, Lindblum, Burmecia and Romarian Empire. The square is often the centre of events and specials days in the city. The diagonal street in the centre left is Garnet Street and leads to Chelsea Square (as seen above) The building to right of Garnet Street is Garnet College of the University of the Royal City of Alexandria (UCRA).The College specialises in music and has around 300 students. Next to Garnet College is Hollosal College which is also part of UCRA. The bottom Centre is Dagger College of UCRA. The avenue on the bottom left is Garnet Place and leads to the Royal Front Gate. To the left of Garnets statue and fountain is her museum. The road going off to the West and following the wall leads to Queen Brahmme Square.

Passenger Rail The city has an excellent overground rail system which connects the suburbs with the centre. Here's a map of the Rail System: Please note that this map only shows stations within the Royal City of Alexandria boundries. A new major rail station is currently been built just to south of Capita Rail Station as this is the site of the new Airport for the city: Alexandria City International Airport. Top 5 busiest rail stations: The stations that see the most commuters a day, number 1 seeing the most are: 5. Airport 4. Frenchie & Dean 3. Princess Olivia 2. Abraham Central 1. King Luxitor King Luxitor is situated right in the middle of the cities main financial district Bevelle as seen in the below image: Underground Rail in the city: The city also has a Underground rail system called the Link. You will see on the rail map that there are many interchanges with the overground rail system. Many commuters in the city use both rail and the Link to travel to work. For example, a commuter living in Hyde Road in the Veronica area to the West of the city and working in Clifton may get a bus into Veronica Central Rail Station, change for the train to King Luxitor Rail Station, then change for the Royal Cliff Link (Purple) to Clifton. This journey would take approx. 35 minutes. Below is a map of the The Link. You will notice that an extention on the Veronica Link (Blue) is currently under construction in order to provide a connection to the cities new major airport. The airport will be the biggest in the Kingdom. Notice how the Royal Cliff Link (Purple_ forms a circle around the central area of the city. This allows easier access to the busy financial district. I also means communters travelling on the Olivia Link (Red) can easily change for another link as the Olivia Link (Red) is the only one that doesn't pass by King Luxitor Rail Station. The Olivia Link was recently extended from Bevelle to Frenchie & Dean Rail Station. King Luxitor Rail Station is a very important terminal in the city. Some say it's the gateway to Alexandria. The cities main bus and coach terminal is located there as well. Due to the rapid growth of the Bevelle area and the development of large luxury high residential apartment blocks in Bevelle and the Abraham area, some sections on the Link are currently experience major congestion. The following stations are particulary over capacity at peak times: - King Luxitor - Abraham Rail Station - Joker way - Outer Wall - Sidco - Princess Olivia Rail Station The Link doesn't cover as much of the city as the overground does. However there are plans to extend some of the other lines currently in negotiation, although they may not be underground lines, instead the extentions make a transition from underground to above ground. The oldest Link on the system is the Royal Cliff Link. This line first connected the Plateau with King Luxitor Rail Station. The first stations to be built were St. Ramuh, Clifton and King Luxitor. They were all opened in 1979

The Royal City of Alexandria The image above shows the area of the city located on the Plateau of Alexandrios The historic part of the city is located on the Plateau. The area is known by locals as the Royal Cliff, also Inner Walls and Outer Walls. Situated here is the following important landmarks Alexandria Castle Alexandria Palace 7 Colleges of the University of the Royal City of Alexandria (UCRA) Garnet Square Founders Park Brahmme Square St Ramuh Cathedral Til Alexandrios Cathedral Knights of Pluto Royal Barraks Knights of Beatrix Royal Barraks Queen Rosalind Hall of Peace Queen Garnet 1st Memorial Musuem Battle of the Last Hope Memorial We will look at some of these sites at a later time. Public Transport on the Plateau No overground rail station is situated on the Plateau of Alexandrios. The building of a rail line into the area has been attempted but a connection to ground level has proved impossible due to steepness of the plateau. However, the area is well served by over 12 bus routes connecting the Inner and Outer Walls and also into the other areas of the city located in the basin. The Plateau is also very well served by the cities Link system by the Royal Cliff Link (Royal City of Alexandria's Underground Passenger Mass Transit System). The image above shows part of the Royal Cliff Link which connects areas on the plateau with the rest of the city. The area mostly consists of the univeristy, museums, theatres, landmarks, churches/cathedrals, squares, parks and some shops and offices and a small amount of residence. The Outer Walls area has more commercial and residential zones. Chelsea Avenue & Square This area is home to theatres, the avenue is also lined with coffee shops, restaurants and boutique stores. Above the stares are apartments owned inhabited by scholars and professors. Chelsea Square (Top Left: Rembrant Theatre on Chelsea Avenue. Bottom Right is Garnet Street and road leading to the bottom left is Founders Avenue) Queen Brahmme Square This area of the Inner Walls is home to the Queen Brahmme Raza Alexandrois XVI Memorial. Queen Brahmme XVI was the Queen who innitiated the war against Lindblum to due her daughter Princess Garnet being allegedly kidnapped by Lindblum authorities. (Bottom Left - Queen Brahmme Raza Alexandrios XVI Statue and Square. The large building in the top centre is the largest and tallest building within the City Walls. The building is the Head Quarters of the Knights of Beatrix. The avenue to the top right is Founders Avenue. Queen Brahmme Link Station is located just to the south of this particular image)

The Kingdom of Alexandria is a contemporary monarchy. It is bordered by Lindblum to the South, Burmecia to the West and Romaria to the East. It has an estimated population of 11,572, 200 and its capital is the Royal City of Alexandria, currently the most highly populated city in the Kingdom. The city is located in the Luxitor High Lands Area of the country. Alexandria Alexandria is divided into 7 territories. Each territory has it's own central town/city - which is usually the largest settlement in that territory. The 7 Territories and they're central towns/cities Territory Central Town/City Luxitor High Lands Royal City of Alexandria Luxitor Rosalind Savannah Plains Jerico Treno Helda Garnet City of Garnet Graham Graham City His Great Corner Kalm The Kingdom is completely surrounded by a large mountain range. Around the border are various large flat plateau's on which most settlements first started to develop. The land at ground level is known as the Guntar Basin or more commonly known as the Great Basin. Due to the unique weather conditions in the basin, caused by the natural shield from the surrouning mountains, a think mist/fog covers the entire area for half the year during the Winter/Autumn months. The image above shows the view of the Great Basin looking from St Catherine's Lookout in the City Of Alexandria A Brief Summary of the History of the Kingdom The Kingdom was founded in the year 708 when an explorer from the Kingdom of Lindblum called Luxitor Alexandrios successfully passed over the tall mountains that surrounded the area. The Plateau of Alexandrios was the first place he found. He then recruited civilians from nearby Lindblum to build a caslte which still stands today – AlexandriaCastle. The mountain ranges and plateau’s of Alexandria offered a natural defense system from Lindblums enemy state Romaria. This is where the Kingdoms motto derives from: To Protect and To Defend. Various forts quickly sprung up around the various plateau’s all over Alexandria. Natives of the area were welcoming to civilians from Lindblum. The natives originally lived in the Basin under the mist but on the discovery of the plateau’s they to migrated to them. In 1101 when the Romarian army planned to invade Lindblum with their powerful army’s, Lindblum secretly launched an attack on Romarian troops from the mountains above the Treno Plateau, as they were traveling for the lands of Lindblum. After the Lindblum/Romarian war, the forts and villages across Alexandria quickly developed into thriving towns. The perfect weather conditions and natural shield from wind provided nutritious farm land. Later discoveries of coal and oil in the Great Basin lead to developments of large industrial towns in the basin. Alexandria quickly developed to a population nearing the total population of the Kingdom Lindblum. In 1525 the Regent of Lindblum, Jerico VXI gave Alexandria to his son, Prince Fransis. Prince Fransis therefore became the first King of Alexandria. First Alexandria/Linblum War In 1756, the Princess and heir to the throne, Princess Garnet VXII was allegedly kidnapped by Lindblum authorities. This triggered the Queen of Alexandria to declare war on Lindblum. The Queen sent her army’s, including the famous Knights of Pluto. The army had originally been developed when the Queen learned of threats from Romaria to invade Alexandria. Much devastation was caused in Lindblum in 1759 in the Great Brahmme Attack. The Kingdoms capital was severely damaged including it’s castle and palace. The Lindblum armies were severely weekend. Learning of the weakness of Lindblum’s defences and Alexandria’s concentration on invading Lindblum, Romaria moved in. Romaria then had little interest in invading Lindblum. They unexpectedly attacked in 1760 causing devastation in Alexandria. Civilians were enslaved and the Queen of Alexandria and all the royal family assisinated. The only remaining rightful heir to the throne was the missing and feared dead Princes Garnet XVII. Alexandria remained under the control of the Romarian Empire until 1766. During that time secret developments were taking place in underground caverns in Lindblum. Princess Garnet was not dead or was not missing, she in fact ran away from Alexandria for Lindblum after a disagreement with her mother over her plans to invade Romaria. In 1766 and at the age of 20 the Princess lead a secret force known as The Last Hope. The troops proceded for Alexandria, and with the help of Lindblum and neighbouring state Burmecian army’s successfully reclaimed Alexandria from the Romarian Empire in the Great Battle for Alexandria. The 7th November remains a public holiday in Alexandria known as the day of the Last Hope. In 1780, Queen Garnet lead the development of the The Act of the Neighborly Kingdoms of Burmecia, Romaria, Lindblum and Alexandria. The purpose of the act was to generate peace amoungst the kingdoms and for them to work together. Various initiatives were put in place such as the Neighborly Tournament – a tournament of sports held every 4 years, bringing all four kingdoms together. Other’s including music competitions. The above image shows The Great Battle for Alexandria of 7th November 1766. Demographics of Alexandria The average life expentancy in the Kingdom is 76 for males and 77 for females. Alexandrian Born: 8, 574, 392 Lindblum Born: 2, 382, 290 Romarian Born 468, 392 Burmecian Born: 292, 281 Europe: 138, 382 Burmecian Born: 75, 392 Towns/Cities Most settlements in the Kingdom are located on the plateau's surrounding the great basin. This is bacause the plateau's rarely experience the thick fog/mist that is experienced in the basin. From the plateau's during the winter months it is impossible to see the lands of the plains/great basin. However, over the last 100 years the Great Basin has seen development due the discover of coal. The largest city in the plains is Jerico with a population of 246 392. The second largest city in the Kingdom is Graham City with a population of 2,463, 291. The largest being the capital, Alexandria with a population of 2,673, 399. The population of these two cities are very close and sometimes it is unsure of which one has a bigger population.
