Grids work well when the lights are syncronized well and when there are lots of alternative routes. They do not work well when there are too many lights and they don't match up In downtown Tampa they match up extremly well and traffic flows very nicely and rarely is there a traffic back up or grid lock in the core of downtown. The main grid lock is at ONE intersection that is on the fringe on the Western Downtown boarder with river.

This is an old project you can probably find on the first page, I've redone in 3dsmax and planning on releasing it soon. Jason please train me on night lights! I want to release BoA!

Yoshii thanks, btw I live down the street from you again!! Anyways Here's the finished building. Textures still need tweaking, but atleast now I can see what it looks like. Still some architectural elements to be added... but you get the idea.

I said skyscrapers! I know what you're talking about though. Those are mainly 1-4 story buildings. There is one other the M&I Gold Bank but it has been horribly mutilated from what it once looked like that its not even close to being what it used to be.

I am a German-American with several relatives from Germany. My aunt for instance (Helga) was born in BERLIN in the 30's and her family lost their company because of Hitler's censoring (They owned a print-n-press) I loved Germany when I was there. One of the most beautiful places I've ever been. and I love Frankfurt!!! I don't get why so many people just instantly refer to Germany as a Nazi state. No one there is actually like that. Infact its Illgeal. There are more Nazis in the US.

Here's some new renders I've been working on. My new computer renders everything lightning fast. (Got to love that 8800 ) I'm having a few issues with 3dsmax, It won't let me render 3104 N. Blvd because of some bitmap issue (it says error creating bitmap) Also, I can't get the paramoters roll out to appear. So like half of the ST Tools don't show up. Only SC4 is Export and Preview I'm also working on an exclusive building that I have created myself, it is done in the Tampa Spanish Moorish style but it is completley original! I promise. It's going to be 5 stories ~40 meters or so. but yeaaaa. I'm back.

Tampa has a really good double decker toll way The Reversable Lee Roy Selmon Express Way Lanes (Downtown (Channelside) to Brandon) it is 3 lanes going towards or away from the city depending on the time. This has eliminated all traffic on the Selmon Expressway. Works beautifully.

I wouldn't be happy either. 90% of all the old brick skyscrapers in Tampa are now parking lots. Only two are left. (Tampa Theatre and Floridan Hotel)

Hey everyone, my life is a little back on track... I will be returning to BATing soon. I'm going to Hawaii, might BAT there a little but... Yeah I am moving to Orlando for architecture so that I may finish my degree at the University of Florida. Jayo: I will be making small tweaks to the texture.

A lot of people have been asking me where Tampa got the nick name of Cigar City, while this is only the most treasured nick name it has a Historically significant story. Neighborhoods not inlcuding Seminole Heights Sources: "Ybor City: Making of a Land Mark Town" by Frank Trebin Lastra "Cigar City Mafia" by Scott Dietch Cigars of Tampa Cigar City Magazine City of Tampa Webstie Tampa Several famous discoverers of America have stepped foot in Tampa. Starting in 1492 Chistopher Columbus, 1513 Ponce De Leon, Hernando de Soto, Panfilo de Narvaez and Pedro Menedez de Aviles. The fist name of Tampa was La Bahia de Espiritu Santo. Originally the area was inhabited by the Calusa Native Americans, but in the 1700s Spanish and Cuban settlers came to what is now the historic district of Hyde Park and worked as fishermen and oystermen. It was then called Spanish Town, because at this point Great Britain had purchased Florida, and the territory was called Hillsborough, which is now the name of the County and River that goes through downtown Tampa. The word Tampa came from what the Spanish could understand the Calusa saying, they called it really Tanpa, which has several translations, one of them being the University of Tampa's use as "Sticks of Fire" which symbolise "Knowledge" or possibly Lightning, Tampa used to be known as Lightning capitol of the world, which is why the NHL Hockey team is the Lightning. When Florida became a U.S Territory, The U.S Army established a fort called, Fort Brooke in 1824. A Parking garage designed to look like the Fort now sits ontop of the former main part of the Fort. The fort was mainly used in the Seminol Wars. Tampa had several attempts to become a city while the fort was still in operation, the city was started and dissolved several times. It remained a town during the civil war when Florida was part of the confederacy, there was one battle that occured in Tampa during the civil war, which was simply a blockade on the port of Tampa. A Union gunboat fired upon Rocky Point then took Fort Brooke in 1862. In 1883 the fort was decomished and the entire fort was demolished except for 2 cannons which are on the University of Tampa campus across the river from Downtown Tampa. The thing that made Tampa become a city was teh discovery of Phosphate in the Bone Valley region East of Tampa. This caught the attention of Henry B. Plant, a rail road tycoon from New York. 1887 is the official year of orginization for the City of Tampa. Not only did Henry B. Plant bring the railroad to Tampa, but he brough life. If it had not been for Henry B. Plant's railroad Tampa would not be a major city today. Henry B. Plant also built a luxurious hotel called the Tampa Bay Hotel, which is still in existance today, however it is now the University of Tampa Main Building. Tampa continued to grow throughout the early 1880s and the early 1900s. During the Spanish-American War Teddy Roosevelt stayed at the Tampa Bay Hotel before embarking to Cuba. Tampa was the waypoint for troops en route to Cuba. This made Tampa prosper economicaly. In 1904 the first Gasparilla Pirate Festival was held, this is day and night parade similar to Mardi Gras. According to legend, Jose Gaspar invaded Tampa and took over the city. Gasparilla's parade starts with the pirate ship holding Ye Majestic Crewe who sails from Tampa Bay up the Hillsborough River and then takes the city from the Mayor. After this Ye Majestic Crewe goes on a land parade through Ybor City. Gasparilla is held in late January every year. As Tampa continued to grow, they were running out of space to expand in the urban core, so in the 20's the city of Tampa built the first man made island for residents to inhabit, Davis Island. This is still a sucessful, mid to high wealth area, it is also where Tampa General Hospital is located. A couple of decades later the high wealth island of Harbour Island came into existance, also man made, it is the home to many rich and famous of Tampa. Starting with Pam Iorio's dream of a new Tampa in 2000, a lot of foccus has been in repairing the urban core, she started with refurbishing Tampa Heights, and is slowly moving into downtown. In 2005, Channelside began its residential conversion (From industrial) and Downtown gave birth to its first condo tower Skypoint, continued growth (Sparked by the failed Trump Tower) is occuring in downtown, while Trump Tower Tampa has failed, many others are going to succeed, Venu is one such luxury condo to go up while Trump still has not a meter to his name. Developers such as Novare, who repaired Atlanta, have taken great intrest in Tampa and have introduced, Skypoint, Element, TWELVE Arts Hotel/Condo, and its own Novare Tower. Tampa is to celebrate its 120th Birthday on July 16th. I will have pictures to show. July 31st 2007 will be a day of new beginings for Tampa's north downtown area, as the problematic Central Park public housing units will be destroyed for a dream of mid wealth retail and apartment condos will be realized. The Central Park dwellers, have been commiting crimes to anyone who has made the mistake of accidently driving through their area, anywhere from car jackings, murders, rapes, and assults/batteries. This will bring in a new era of prosperity as it will draw people to Downtown and Ybor to hopefully get the retail economy to flourish. This is the render of Trump Towers by SimDag LLC, which has failed due to poor leadership by SimDag, and will probably not be constructed. But here's the rest: I'm currently in the process of moving from my dorm room into this 1929 Bungalow. As well as starting a job. So this is my house: in Bat form So I will be in full action May 9th.

Hillsborough High School is one of the highest ranked IB programs in the nation. Blake (which is surrounded by projects) is one of the top music schools in the nation. Plant is one of the top magnets in the nation, just to name a few.

Ouch dude! You know I don't have to do internship for anther 2 years! I'm almost done with BoA, and Tampa Terrace.

Its pretty on scale with the Steerforth. The floors heights are pretty equa.
