Sorry guys I got pretty busy out of no where, but now I'm getting ready to start my first year at the University of South Florida, and am in year 1/5 to the masters degree. SWAT: why would you use a dark roof that makes the heat island effect greater, and causes higher cooling costs because of the way dark colors absorb light. Being a lighter color will not only bring down the heat island affect but will reduce the amount of cooling you need to use. Or is that if you saw this in real life you'd expect it to use tar paper roofing? In the Tampanian neighborhood Ybor Village we have a group of row homes that look very similar to this, but they have rooftop gardens This is the same reason behind the Sears Tower's potential color change. I'd prefer a rooftop garden This acts double to reduce the heat island affect and it also helps insulate the roof.

Raysfan: It is 176m scaled up to around 235m It's not too tall. It would appear to be the same size as it is in the skyline. I haven't had much time, but I just finished my spring semester and am about to start Summer but I have no Design Class for summer so I'll have some time to work on these. In the mean time here are my Architectural Design 2 Projects. The Crescent: A Green Portable Emergency House (Design Partie from New Orleans' nickname "The Crescent City" Sublime - Santeria: A house for the band Sublime. The house is based off the movement and rhythm of the song Santeria by Sublime. It is to be located in Sunset Beach, HI Both projects utilize Solar Energy on the roofs, harness rain water for Grey Water usage, have Low E Glazing and use ultra efficient appliances, and low flow fixtures. Both have natural light used to light up almost every room in the building to cut costs on lighting during day hours. I realise the rendering on the project directly above is not that great, but I didn't have a lot of time to finish the project, I worked on it slowly until the weekend before, in which I pulled 2 consecutive all nighters and still did not finish in time. Although I received an A on this project and in the course.

Thats interesting Boggy. I've never really noticed that, but I'm a deeply rooted American so, its the norm to me I guess. Atleast its a positive stereotype of the US rather than the other ones haha. ANYWAYS. I agree with the public v. private judging. I don't judge people based off what I think they do private. That's almost like judging someone based off sexuality or religion. The only difference is that this is an object that you can use when you feel like it. Perhaps the decriminalization of it is better than full legalization so that people ONLY smoke at home or in private? I means in terms of leveling with the opposition.

I'm just proving a point. Not bragging. Weed doesn't do all of the negative affects that some people seem to point out. Honestly the majority of my design class smokes weed and they all come up with great stuff and are all pretty smart. Not to mention I'm Native American and my ancestors have ceremonily smoked cannabis for a really long time. (I'm not just saying that. I am a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation)

Here's some fun facts Top 5 kids in my class in HS all pot heads. The top 2 were the biggest pot heads. My friend Andrew at UT pothead 3.78 gpa I'm a pot head and I have all A's right now. There's nothing wrong with pot if you can handle it. Its less damaging than Tabacco and Alcohol. It is dependent on the person just like alcohol and cigarettes. I've smoked cigs and I hate them. I have friends who are addicted to them. I've smoked maybe 10. Also whenever I'm doing my drafting I do it high. And guess what I got on my last design project? 86. My whole new project is amazing and incredibly thought out and abstract and I did it all high. This is my Katrina Emergency Housing Shelter named "The Crescent" the partie comes from New Orleans being the Crescent City, another idea I had while being high.

When I scale it up it might look better. I also might set the windows further back and that might help. I'll test all that out soon. Thanks for your comments, I love the night lights on your buildings Very good job I need to learn all that.

Jason: I was coincidentally I was researching Cancer Hospitals for my boss because we just got a bunch of new Cancer center jobs, and though my boss has been working in healthcare architecture since the 1990's we're looking at ways to make the doors easier to open for cancer patients. I'm on spring break and will try to work on the building. If anyone wants to help me release BoA I need lights done for it, and I need it to be put in gmax and exported, I can't run the 3dsmax-gmax conversion. Anyway I'll hit this up l8es.

Another fun fact about his problems as an architect, when Walt Disney Cocnert Hall in LA was first constructed the metal material they used was to reflective and it heated street level to unbearable levesl and also made the surrounding buildings incredibly hot. He had to go back and make em reflect less.

Tampa was voted the #8 cleanest city by Maxim/Forbes I forgot which one.
