  1. I DONT KNOW IF THESE PICS ARE ALREADY AVAILABLE, BUT, CHECK OUT THE LUSHNESS. LOOK AT THE BRIGHT GREEN " BIG PARK", AND " SCHOOL"! BESIDE IT! "MODERN METROPOLIS" COMING SOON~~
  2. From what I've seen, The Museum increases land value! With The Museum and Library, both, the EQ will decline much more slowly! IDK. I could be wrong. You do have to have more schools to reach a higher EQ, period! Also, There was a way to create bridges straight across water, on flat land with no ramp! Just a straight level bridge. I seen it on a webpage once, but, now I cant find it! It works for all brides I think. There is a way to utilize a power plant off-shore like an oil rig tile! lol You just build the plant tile, drop water all around it, to where its surrounded completely by water. And then, bulldoze a single tile on the side you plan to connect to the nearest shore, lol then build your powerline. Then just simply bulldoze it. there will only be that little bare tile. and no line, but everything powered by that will not be blinking! STill powered. You can run a road way tunnel through a hill, then lower the land on top, and it will keep the tunnel!
  3. HELLO EVERY ONE THAT CAN READ THIS!!!

NEW TILE SET IN THE WORKS!

                                            "MODERN METROPOLIS"

This tile set is actually near finished. It consists of many building tiles that were not used. They are very colourful, and kind of resembles the earlier SKURK that used to be around. But, once again, this set reflects realism. And is based upon "Glass and Steel". I also, once again had to rely upon my actual SKURKING skills to fulfil the need for certain buildings...

"Modern Metropolis," is coming soon, and you can expect to build uniform suburbs, midrange districts, Smokey industrial areas, and stunning skyscrapers that dazzle glass and steel!

  4. "OCEANIC METROPOLIS v1.0" IS HERE! FINALLY

With "OCEANIC METROPOLIS v1.0", the abandoned tiles are actually vacant grass lots! And some of them are grown up trees and bushes, adding an overgrown lot on your block, or accenting it with a nice green lawn!

The wind mill tile is now a type of courtyard, or paved surface in which you can add to small park areas to create a substitute road!

The light density residential zones will develop into normal houses. When property value becomes high enough, they will develop into luxury homes, or "townhouse" and will be of a red colour scheme, or a crimson.

The High value areas will then blend and become their own exclusive areas!

If you develop High density Residential zones by laying 2x2 tiles, they will spawn large mansions and estate homes! You can zone whole subdivisions with these.

The water pump is now a" Farmland " tile, and the water treatment is a   "Barn and Silo"! Allowing you to create farms!

    Now! There will be updates.

Empire Megalopolis tileset will receive new Arcologies. Removing the Iconic New York buildings. At least for the Arco's.

This due to the simple fact that Vintage New York City tileset shares the same Arco's.

    Other updates as well.

And The Oceanic Metropolis tileset is coming soon!

Vintage New York City is a Tile Set Conversion for SimCity 2000 Windows, or the Special Edition. Basically its' New York before the 1940's , or when the Empire State building was the tallest in the world. This really is an awesome Tile set if I have to say it my self! I spent no less than Four Hundred hours digging through tiles and old scurk pages. Then i had to create original scurk as well! This will definitely bring new life into the great. This is no slouch, careful work was done to ensure everything matches in scale and colour and realism. You can recreate a version of Manhattan, or even develop an alternate city. AMUST HAVE!!! INSTALLATION DIRECTIONS!!!! You may need an archive tool that Unzips compressed files such as WINRAR, its what I use. Then extract the file named 'VINTAGE NEW YORK CITY'.MIF to a folder called " SCURKART' , its 'where your SimCity 2000 is stored, or you can make an entirely new installation folder location just as long as you can find it! LOL Usually you can just double click on the File," VINTAGE NEW YORK CITY. MIF" and it will open to SCURK, or just right click and choose to open with SCURK. From there you will be able to access the goodies! From the main game. At the main menu of SimCity 2000 Special Edition there will be as follows.. LOAD CITY START NEW CITY EDIT NEW MAP LOAD SCENARIO WATCH WILL TV ***LOAD TILE SET*** QUIT Click on load tile set and it will take you to a directory screen, LOOK IN, SCURKART, or where ever you extracted to and select the tile set, " VINTAGE NEW YORK CITY.MIF. Once selected it will take you back to the main menu, from there you can choose what ever you want. When you begin the game you'll notice that mostly everything is different! IN GAME Once you have started a new city or what ever and your in the game, you can load the tile set from there by, clicking 'FILE' at the top left hand side of the screen and selecting," Load Tile Set". It will take you to the same directory . Look In.. The folder where you extracted , "VINTAGE NEW YORK CITY.MIF and select it! The city will then be the new tiles! CREATED BY G.F JAY COSIS. 17. Hello to all of those stopping by to read this.

All things SimCity! SC2K for me!

I like the newer versions of the legendary city builder.

But, Lately for the past year, I have been solely into windows SimCity 2000.

And for the SC2K resources page I have opted to contribute a couple of SCURK tilesets that operate well I into the new era.

I just like the speed of the game. And the cool glow of the retro vibe.

Any way, I combine tiles(buildings) to complete balanced sets! Spending hundreds of hours sorting them to scale and color blending.

Trying not to use the same tiles in any two sets, with the exception of Empire Megalopolis having the Empire state building and Chrysler building as arco's. Simply as it's namesake and also as a fictional modern version of New York. Likely from the NFS 3 Hot pursuit race track. Also, there are a Lack of Arco's online.

The newest addition to this will be Vintage New York City!! Tile set.

Yes! It shares the Empire state building and Chrysler building as arco's. But it's all based before 1940. Or so..

This set will be complete! And is probably the best set yet!

  18. jestarr's BAT Thread

Excellent! Lately I've been working on similar exploits . I usually hover around port cities in Google Earth, and take screenshots of old wharf type structures, and render them to modeled graphics with SCURK!
  19. OKAY..SO IT BEES LIKE DIS

I am working on Sim City2000  Win95 Special Edition

Which is just the most recent version you'll find on the web for windows.

I have Three SCURK TILE SETS In the WORKS!

    SimCity Urban Renewal Kit(SCURK)Windows

This program really is an art form! It takes a lot of discipline and skill to create Quality Tiles! Also, it takes a lot of time to go through collections of tiles and sort them all into an Alternate Tile Set by blending each and every tile(Building) to fit nicely, like a puzzle ! That is what i have done here!

And am gaining valuable experience in doing so.

"EMPIRE MEGALOPOLIS" has received new tiles making it a worth while update. More full. Which is sort of like a modern day new york.

For this tile set is complete and well blended, probably few hundred hours in blending. Seriously.

    It is already done.

I am Just waiting to complete," OCEANIC METROPOLIS"!

A tropical, modern town. Very colourful, and kind of has that "Gamey" look, but in a good way! Lots of my own original tiles!

Just waiting to shade in Two or Three buildings with contrast!

Last, but not least. I have a "OLD NEW YORK" tile Set

Which is New York before 1940.

I had a lot of extra tiles and decided to make an alternate set.

It needs new Industrial tiles, which are kind of rare!

    COMING SOON

  20. jestarr's BAT Thread

    Nice roof !
  21. Update for Empire Megalopolis coming out soon!

Also, finishing the final touches on Oceanic Metropolis!

It's like Miami or something. Featuring original work of mine.

    Coming this Holiday season!!!!!

  22. jestarr's BAT Thread

This is amazing you know it's actually fine like it is now!
  23. Slow progress. Working on public safety and civics buildings. I am about to pour over the archived pages of SCURK Mountain, and see if I can find any more Tiles to use.

To me , SCURK is difficult. It is a difficult program that requires a skill. A skill that is perfected with trial and error. I feel that my work may become of quality to include in final versions.

  24. simcity 2000 Kraddock

I haven't even done that on hard mode the numbers look amazing and it's a very realistic layout even for the vanilla towel set things like this always inspire me thank you for sharing
  25. Such a beautiful tile set! These neighborhoods are so lush and green. Very dynamic as well. The single tile low density residential zone will build  townhomes with a higher land value. There are Three possible combinations for the residential zone. I'm only lacking like Five buildings. GONNA STRETCH MONTHS OF NEW GAME PLAY WITH, "OCEANIC METROPOLIS"!
