  1. I'll probably not be waiting for that long, so I'm going for maxis. Plus, my map involves making a pretty big region with multiple cities- stuffing people into tiny spaces is essential... And that bridge texture was screwed up even BEFORE I messed with the RRW dats. It doesn't matter I guess, I'm getting rid of it.... Do you know about the bridge shadow problem though?
  2. I know, but still. The primary problem is the 1x1 manufacturiing lot. It never appears- EVER. Everything else I can live without.
  3. I'll reinstall then... I thought TTR and QTR appeared in some other mod... but OK. And I'll keep the maxis stations. Thanks.
  4. Anyone? I REALLY need these lots...? help!
  5. But then I have to delete all my NAM files and reinstall them... right? The only reason I don't want RRW is because a lot of the Maxis turns/interchanges aren't supported by RRW, and thus, look strange, since the rail will change from RRW to maxis textures, and vice versa. Also, RRW has a few glitchy bridges. This is after reinstalling NAM once with RRW.
  6. Can I remove the Maxis stations if I have RTMT? Is it safe? Is there such thing as 3 lane or 4 lane railways right now?
  7. I changed it after I made that inital post, It's a highway turn now. It didn't change anything... I'm pretty sure it's orange in the congestion view. At the worst parts, it's red. The problem with room is only in sloped Aicadea's Step. Sikigrat has plenty of room to go around. I actually never made the turn because I had no idea how to make highway turns at the time... Is SLURP ready in NAM? In any case, I have Ordance Overhaul, so this isn't a huge issue. Also, is it safe to remove the maxis bus stations if you have NAM?
  8. I never get it tho... And aren't YOU a BATer? IN any case, I found I need high capacity rail lines and El-rail over one way road and avenue RTMT...
  9. Because the congestion is green, minus the subways and rail systems. Any way to increase capacity on those? Maybe I should roll back NAM trffic levels?
  10. The thing is that it should. But the highways might be a tile off... I hate the fact there is no zoom on the map. But I'll look back.. What is the differnce between volume and congestion? I don't like the congestion map due to having every type of traffic in it... meaning you can't distinguish subway from road a lot of the time.. I'll get a congestion map...
  11. Divinyls Fan Extraordinaire

Dude, keep your powerlevel down. This isn't your personal blog. Thanks.
  12. Took a while because I was adding a few things to the transportation system, but here- No idea why the traffic refused to take the highway in the 1st image, but even after I fixed that, the highway was still congested to the brim... Increasing the traffic capacity to medium only diverted traffic off the roads a bit... Should I increase it again?
  13. Get your Maxis files here!

so I don't need it if I have NAM? I had the disk version for windows...
  14. Get your Maxis files here!

Wait what? I can't find downloads for this. If I'm on windows, am I missing out if I have Rush Hour? Can't seem to find this file? Which were these, Maxis Landmarks DLC? Do I need SC4Bat Installer and Update?
  15. New to SC4?

Seems too OP. I use the Maxis Overhaul Compact Water Treatment plant lot. I never use any air purification lot because it's not realistic.... Or power plant meltdown, though if you let those happen, you have serious problems.... though it can also make nuclear explosions happen! (there are mods that allow this to be done manually with a bomb too) There are other (boring) events that can be triggered manually, like water pipe blowout (too low water utility spending), car crash (high congestion, no actual effect), and another one I can't remember right now.
  16. I got a file called udrive_opt.sc4 from the Maxis DLC downloads.... I have no idea where to put it. I think it's supposed to be a city file, but it's useless without a region, and placing it in another region results in an error upon loading the region... and I can't find anywhere on the internet that explains where it is put... help?
  17. Where do you put udrive_opt?

Cool! thanks. Never saw the Kanto one before- time to recreate Pokemon in Simcity4 It's not on any of the Maxis downloads lists, so.. ohhh....
  18. I want to install RTMT, but only want the bus stops- how am I suppose to install only them? I think adding the subway station too makes them a bit OP...
  19. I read the Readme too you knnow. That's why I got the screenshot, so that you can check if there was anything I missed. I don't think I missed anything, after checking briefly myself.
  20. OK, so I increased the NAM settings to medium, and combined the highways together, an added a few interchanges where it was possible (not finished this yet). STILL, high congestion on highways... Actually, Monorails seem to do more to help congestion than highways. On the other hand, I am removing a bunch of older highways and avenues that remain woefully underused, likely because they weren't in convenient locations as the city grew and the downtown suffered a bit from urban decay.
  21. Because it clutters the game plop menus up. The less, the better, really. It's why I don't like modular stuff. It's a pain in the butt to find anything. Besides, I already fixed that. Now my problem is getting the bus stops to appear without a big box on it...
  22. New to SC4?

What is the NAM transit commuter percentage settings? Medium? (aka American?) If so, skip the monorail, and concentrate on roads, highways, and buses. Sometimes subway, if the bus is getting too congested.
  23. Rice Paddy

    ok, I'll try it...
  24. I tried this, and I get brown boxes for every RTMT lot. And I do have the suburban bus set lots installed. No idea what the issue is. My RTMT installion folder is given...
  25. New to SC4?

Plus, you need a water treatment plant to clean the polluted water, even if there is little water pollution. zone low desnsity. Keep in mind that this means that you will need high speed networks like highways and monorails made in large amounts (highways, I find, are a LOT more cost effective in suburbs) to keep people moving to their workplaces fast.
