Hi! These are some old futuristic cities I've made in the old times of Simcity 4, when I had tons of props and a 2 GB folder of downloaded files. For the old-timers, I was Vegetarian-Dracula or CopeX4 (you will remember ). Enjoy!

MUNICH, GERMANY As we were in Germany just for the train transfer from Amsterdam to Budapest, we stayed in Munich for 4 hours, and we also previously went to the Frankfurt central station for the train transfer inside Germany. The following pictures show all the food the country has. Specially the chocolate and meat. We only went to the Marienplatz, famous for having the Neue Rathaus. Most of the german architecture was rebuilt after the World War II, but there's still some very ancient buildings that's are really worth the time to go and take a look at them. These are the pictures:- 32 Replies

I honestly felt the same. It is in my top 3 with Venice and Amsterdam, no doubt about it. It is also the most northern city on Italy (culturally speaking), and that can be felt in it streets. Even being compared with Rome (which is a relatively northern italian city), you can see the difference between the south and the north of the country. ------ CHATEAU OF VERSAILLES And the videos:- 32 Replies

NICE, FRANCE Because Montecarlo is quite expensive and its cheapest hotel costs 150 euros per night, we went to Nice. I was really surprised with what I saw. The city is like a tropical version of Paris. These are the pictures of Nice. Enjoy!- 32 Replies

MONTECARLO, MÓNACO Being stayed in Italy for almost 2 weeks, it was time to move on. The next one was France, with Monaco as its front door. It is quite impressive when Italy ends and France starts. The abismal differences between both countries shocked me at first because that was going to be a common characteristic of the european continent: you can clearly feel when one country ends and when another one starts cause every country inside Europe has a very strong culture and they're very different. I'm used to travel between countries in Latin America, where we share several aspects of our culture, but it is like the opposite in Europe. Montecarlo, Monaco: it's like Genoa, but far more dense. Walking on the streets of Montecarlo is like walking trough a racing-track, being a festival of expensive cars, specially in the area of the Casino. Like Genoa, Montecarlo has a lot of tunnels and sub-neighborhoods inside them. It's an amazing city, full of luxury. These are the images and the video of Montecarlo:- 32 Replies

GENOA (GÉNOVA), ITALY The last city we visited in Italy was Genia, one of the cites that I liked the most in the whole Europe trip. Its streets go trough the mountains and that creates several interestings sub-neighborhoods in the tunnels (some of them are very big). As every italian city, it has gorgeous palaces everywhere and art museums all around the city. The port of Genoa must be one of the nicest ports in the world. You can see in the video posted after the pictures that the commercial port is connected to the Old Port (Porto Antico), the Aquarium, the Sphere (like a jungle inside a glass-ball), old ships, and lots of very old buildings. Here's the images and the last video of Italy:- 32 Replies

VENICE, ITALY After staying in Milan, it was time to fullfill one of my dreams: meet Venice. It was one of the most outstandings experiences ever. I came out from the Venecia Santa Lucia train station, with a light snow storm on the city, and at the end of the Venice Carnival. Next day, the papers said that that day was the historical record of snow in the city. The 3 ways of moving in Venice are on foot, at the Gondolas, or at the Vaporettos. It's definetely a unique city in the whole world. Enjoy! And the video of the city:- 32 Replies

The United Cities*4th Birthday and Retirement!*
Montecarlo replied to nathanthemayor's topic in SC4 City Journals
Even with some pluggins and downloaded stuff, most of the city is classic Simcity style pushed to its limits (like the perfection of the mountains and the water). I love it -
Cool! So much work for so many years. I remember when I first saw the Schulmania thread. Was that in 2010 or 2009? It still is one of the most iconic stuff of Simtropolis. Keep up the good work!

It is actually my material. I made both the pictures and videos with the Canon T3i (which I highly recommend) and a normal 18-55mm lens. The youtube channel is mine too. As a filmmaker (student until last year), that's the place where I upload all my work. There's some shortfilms (in spanish language) and short videos from other countries in my channel too.- 32 Replies

Haha, funny, I am from Northern Europe and when I was in Italy it felt like the least European country I ever visited It's a special and atypical society (far more religious than most countries in Western Europe, for example). That's quite interesting. Something I saw in Europe is that every country is a different world on its own. In South and Latin America, we share a common culture apart from our individual cultures as countries. I could tell you (for example) where Italy finished and where France began when I was traveling on the train. Same when I left France and entered Belgium. It is the only continent in the world who was such amount of stuff to see and learn in a relatively small space. From my point of view, the northern european countries ar far more developed than the southern ones (in the culture of the society and infraestructure). But even when having that in mind, all western european countries are definitely first world countries.- 32 Replies

ROME - ITALY Though my first approaching was in Barajas, I really felt in Europe when I landed on Rome (Roma Fiumicino). I traveled on train directly to one of the biggest train stations in Italy: Roma Termini. The streets of Rome were also the first approach to that photogenic characteristic of most European cities. The colours of almost every building in Rome are very similar: red, yellow, and orange. At the same time, the European cities share the same features: they all have the architectural styles of its regions, unlike the Central and South American cities, which have a mix of lots of styles. These are the pictures and videos of one of the most important cities of the western civilization: Videos:- 32 Replies

Montecarlo replied to Montecarlo's topic in SC4 City Journals
Wow, there's a lot stuff. It's an old city and I don't have it anymore. I only found the pictures on my old 512 GB HDD. But watching all the new things you show me, I see that the community kept making a lot of buildings/projects since I left the game, several years ago. I can also see that people keep playing Simcity 4 instead of SC5 and SC:Societies.- 13 Replies
