what is your favourite landmark in this world ?
simzebu replied to johnwinston's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
^ Oh, no, the Chrysler building is better! I'd say The Egg in Albany, NY. With the exception of it and the Corning Tower, the whole plaza is hideous. -
^I don't work, but if I did, it wouldn't be 5 minutes away. < Just added 1Gb of RAM to his computer, binging it up to 2Gb (And is amazed at the increase in performance!) \/ Has less than 1Gb of RAM in his computer.

Boston Central Artery/Tunnel Project (Big Dig)
simzebu replied to blahdy's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
I consider myself lucky. My birthday is in June, so it's a nice even split between present-giving times. My mom had a freind whose birthday was on June 25, so he got more presents for his half birthday than for his birthday! -
42 Millakillafeet per terramicrohour Why is it not snowing out?

Voltaire: I hope I'm not being too pushy, but do you have a general release date in mind for the wide runways?

He's probably talking about the Zakim bridge. If I'm not mistaken, there is no known release date for that yet. -
Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support

Either way, that would be a nice touch for regular crossings. I like how it has the 2 track sign on it too. Quite realistic.- 3,919 Replies

We will have to... Ask you to leave! And everyone will stare and laugh at you and it will be really embarrassing! If a train leaves Boston at 10:35, and another leaves New York at 10:11, at what time will I care?

I see that avenue as a very interesting component of downtowns.- 3,919 Replies

You need to have high enough elevation and the date needs to be Christmas. Try changing your computers date do December 25, and making a very high plateau in a city. Then it should work

Here it is: Simfan34: I guestimated the proper size for your islands. I hope it's good.

I got something like 4.57 miles. But there was a weird error where the ruler line had a bump in it. I tried to check it out, but then my computer crashed. There were also some makings right next to the long runway that I couldn't identify in what I thought was a lake. EDIT: I went back, and took these pictures. I think the makings are runways, because the numbers match the angles. The line is straight when I measure it: But when viewed from an angle: A better perspective: A shot of the markings: And even if it isn't as long as dadyrghluv said it was, it still is really big.

Simfan34 : I would be glad to, but it's going to probably take me a bit, so it'll have to wait until I get back from Syracuse tomorrow. Also, do you have a general scale in mind? Or, even better, could you bring it to the right scale (1 pixel:2km) and in a single color? (Either one would make it a lot easier for me) EDIT: I have it ready to put it on the map, but I need to know the scale.

shasta: That's what I was going for. I'm glad it came out right. Schnabo: Put your name in the list on NSwiki. Just follow the format of everyone else's entries. roy_mustang: Shasta is right about the storms. It won't make anything too big, not to mention that a storm can only happen if you make it happen in this game. And the areas to either side of the delta wouldn't be very high above sea level. Anyway, I put you in for some shoreside territory. It's a little square on the west bank. (It doesn't want to upload right now)

Here it is: (attached to post) I also re-routed the river to give it more length, so that it's more realistic for there to be a large enough delta for it to show up on the map.

It's your choice.
