  3. I reinstalled and redid the update (UPDATE_SKU2_TO_P1_B638.EXE) and the night lighting patch (SC4Update4BAT.exe) and plopped a bunch of BATS I had downloaded from the STEX: The reinstall seems to have done the trick. Finally have lights!

  5. I double checked the items you mentioned. The lot is powered: and ilive's reader confirms: As for the FSH, I see 4 for each zoom. Day and Nights: Still confused. (and suspecting it's going to be something small that I've missed or overlooked) p.s. Thanks again for the help. It is much appreciated.
  6. Continuing to have problems with night lighting my BATS. I will go through my process step by step. Hopefully someone can point out where I'm messing up! 1. Create my model: 2.Applying my materials (using Jason's glass from his BAT Tutorials) 3. Day and Night previews: 4. Export LOD's and set up Light/Camera rig for Day Export and double check that Glass_Day material is being used. 5. Day export completes without a hitch. 6. Set up Light/Camera rig for Night Export and make sure Glass_Night material is being used. 7. Night export completes.... fsh created and inserted.... 8. Open plug-in-manager and set up my newly created lot as a park. (making sure it is powered) 9. Open Lot Editor and finish it up for ingame testing. 10. Start up SC4 Deluxe (patched for night lights) 11. Plop the park in my test city. Let it run on normal speed for at least 5 day/night cycles, then fast speed for a couple months. 12. Grumble and mutter to myself for a while and wonder what the heck I'm still doing wrong.

    Frustrated with night lighting. I've been trying to get my BAT to light up. But I keep on running into a wall of sorts. I've created my BAT, and made my materials for the day and night glass. I've set the night glass to Self Illumination: And the Day and Night previews seem to be correct: The Day and Night Export goes off without a hitch. I open SC4 plug in manager and set the model to Park, and save it. Then go into Lot Editor and create my lot to test out the lighting. Save my lot and fire up the game. My newly created house refuses to light up. Other buildings light up great. It's just my pour house that fails to do so. (lot is powered and I let the game run through many day/night cycles, at normal speed and faster) I am using 3ds Max 2012. And I've tried following the tutorials. Though most of them are very dated, and all seems to be missing images due to broken links... Help please!
  9. I seem to be having a bit of a problem with my textures. I'm pretty sure it's something I have overlooked in my set up. But can't find it for the life of me.... Figured it out...

    I'm one of the lurkers. I read a majority of the BAT threads. And I am in awe of the beautiful buildings being created. I would be happy to have just a fraction of the skill you display. My extremely amaturish atempts at 3D modeling will always be a work in progress! So to get to the point. Keep up the incredible work. Much to be proud of here.
