Always nice to see your creations! 10/10 and 3 thumbs up!
  2. YmaC Grand cafe

Welcome to the group of European batters! Looks good for a first upload. But please make the screenshot more close up so you can see the building detail better.
  3. Billig Bier

German players like this BAT, how could I guess :o)

The most popular shop in the neighbourhood! This is an unlicensed European version of JMyers BAT “Cheap Beer and Wine”. All credits for this great idea goes to JMyers! This building comes as a growable CS$ with 45 jobs. It grows in medium density zones in stage 4. You will also find a ploppable version in the landmarks menu, free to plop but with no impact on Your city. Pure eyecandy that is! Enjoy!
  5. HK Tai Hong Building

Looks very well done with balanced textures. Not for my european cities but still a 10/10!
  6. The Knitting Company

Looks very nice, fits in my cities! Thanks!
  7. NAM General Discussion Thread

How can I make elevated (heavy I guess) rail with those nice brick arches under? I have installed the jan 2008 NAM but where is it to find in the game??? Should it be in the rail menu or where? Did I miss something when I installed?
  8. Can't Find It? Ask Here!

Please tell me how to build elevated rail with those nice brick arched columns (at the left in this pic) Thanks for any help!
  9. Park Street

My buildings may look a little "blurry" in the game because I do not make them high-contrast and shiny. The original Maxis buildings have quite a range in contrast and my buildings fit better in the more quiet end on this scale. I also do not oversize my buildings, so a lot of details may of course appear as only a few pixels. Then here in the exchange, jpeg compression of the screenshots add up extra noise that you will not see in the game.

Park Street will provide your rich sims with all the stucco, gold plate and silk tapetsries they need. This release is a part of my ongoing "clean up the HD and finish off unfinished BATs" cappaign. I started this project more than a year ago and maybe I could pick a few details that had been better if I had made this today. But I guess it could at least give Your back streets some variation. This download includes two buildings based on the same model. They grow in 1 x 3 medium density zones and provide homes for 92 R$$$ sims each. You will also find ploppable eyecandy lots of those buildings in the landmarks menu. If You like those buildings lot You may also want to download my "Bernauer Strasse" which is a run-down R$ version of this BAT. https://www.simtropolis.com/STEX/index.cfm?id=17405 Corner buildings in the same style is found in the "Hansaviertel" set. https://www.simtropolis.com/STEX/index.cfm?id=15302 Enjoy!
  11. NetPCDoc is right. Sims may cut big lots into small, or add several small lots to a big one. That´s just how they do it. BUT... You can fool them not to do it The trick is to zone "strips" of different density levels if You want to have small buildings, since sims can not add different density lots to each other. Example: R=Road tile M=Medium density tile D=Dense density tile RRRRRRRRRR MMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMM Here the sims will put 2, 3 or 4 small lots into big lots and build big houses when demand is high. RRRRRRRRRR MDMDMDMDMD MDMDMDMDMD Here you will always have small one-tile wide lots with small buildings. Happy building!!

The basic model is great, it has a strong and powerful appearance and is very well proportioned. It looks much better in-game than in this screenshot. But this bat is a little too dark and a little too monotone-red textured overall. Maybe You could lighten it up and add decorations on the facade in other colour (grey stone, yellow brick..) to give it some colour variation to fit better in the Sim City environment. Also Nightlights would be appericated. I look forward to see your next project!

In this set You will find 26 different buildings based on the generic pre-industrial design of buildings in Stockholm, Sweden. Those simple but still skilfully crafted and well-proportioned houses have been built here in my city back from medieval ages until the middle of the 19th century, when the industrail revolution called for a drastic change in the built environment. As times has passed by, the architectural fashion has changed and set their traces in facade design. Over the centuries, old buildings have often been extended with additional floors and an updated facade sceme. Thus, a single building may bear trace of different building periods. This set includes 26 different buildings, of which only a few are seen in the screenshots. Of course I have not designed every building from scratch, those are built in a lego-like way in BAT. The buildings hose between 24 and 66 medium wealth sims (depending on the number of floors) and grow in stages 2-5. There are a total of 40 different lots. They all build on 1 x 1 medium density residential tiles. This time I have not included ploppable versions, having created and tweaked 92 files is well enough for me for this time. Just zone right and they will grow for You! Enjoy!
  14. Addint this in my plugins as well, this is just the architecture I like! Great job just as on any of Your Warsaw buildings.
  15. ferox Mazowiecka 1, Warsaw

A stunning piece of architecture! 10/10!
  16. October Bridge

danlikebooks, You can not use ordinary ground rail. Use either the standard elevated rail or the elevated heavy rail that is included in NAM (Network Addon Mod). I used NAM rail to make the screenshots. You will find NAM here https://www.simtropolis.com/modding/index.cfm?p=details&id=380 . NAM adds many useful and cool things to the game, it is a must have!

October Bridge will run rails over Your avenues in an estetically pleasing way. It fits original el rail as well as NAM elevated heavy rail. This bridge is purely fictional but is inspired by the neo-classical style, as it was interpretedin Sweden in the 1920s. You will find this pure eyecandy lot in the landmarks menu. Technically the lot is a 1x1 landmark lot placed where the tower beside the tracks stand. The actual bridge is a big overhanging prop. This means that this lot is not transit enabled. You plop it and then run elevated rail or NAM elevated heavy rail trough it, to end up with a functional bridge for all purposes. You may run monorail trough this bridge as well even if it may look a little stupid imho, since monorails were not invented when this bridge was supposed to have been built. If You like this lot You may also want to download my "Rail Thru Building Bülowstrasse" which works in a similar way for rail over street/road. https://www.simtropolis.com/STEX/index.cfm?id=16352 Enjoy!

This wonderful building is created by Born78. It is remarkably well detailed, and at night about 150 light sources makes it shine in the dark. Born78 is a batter who was active here a couple of years ago. Born78 was one of the first Simtropolis members who promoted the W2W style of buildings, and the user who proposed the dimensions of W2W buildings and sidewalks that still most batters follow. This building was also one of the first which was designed for a 45 degree street corner. But everything needs some trial and error, and Born78 did not get it all really right so the model did not fit the grid in the end. As Born78 stopped batting, this model was left unfinished. I had the opportunity to get the model from a fellow here some time ago and gave it a try to pick the house into pieces, and scale and rotate the pieces right on a baseplate made after accurate measurements. I also added the back facades and roofs as this was not found in the original design. The building is based on a neo-renaissance-building at Stureplan in Stockholm as seen in the black and white shot. The building still stand today in excellent condition. It houses several posh botiques and bars, as well as offices in the upper floors. This building comes as a ploppable landmark, free to plop but with no impacton Your city. Pure eyecandy that is! Enjoy!

This is a high-wealth commercial building for Your sims to enjoy! I started making this building more than two years ago, as it was first thougt to be exclusively built in a city here in Simtropolis CJ section. But the CJer in question stopped updating and left Simtropolis just about when the building was finished. Therefore, the building has never been used. But I thought it was time for that now. This building is based on one of my other bats, the Büro Alfred Messel. I recommend You to have both in Your city for more variation. This building comes as a growable CO$$$ with 59 jobs. You will also find a ploppable version in the landmarks menu, free to plop but with no impact on Your city. Pure eyecandy that is! Enjoy!
