    Absolutely brilliant!! Easily a 10!
  2. I think I may have found a bug with SC4Tool. For the Query Exemplar GUID value (and others) the type is listed as a UInt32, but the listed min and max range values correspond with a regular Int32, and the range check that is performed when editing the field also corresponds with a regular Int32. However, I've noticed that a lot of BATs use the value 0xca56783a for their Query Exemplar GUID, which can only be of type UInt32. So it seems to me the listed min and max range values are incorrect (should be 0 to 4,294,967,295) and the range check when editing the field is checking for the incorrect bounds (i.e. the value 0xca56783a should be valid but the program says it isn't). Is this a bug, or am I missing something? Here's a screenshot of the issue:

    Excellent!
  4. Rendering Problem: Gaps Between Cities

I have this problem also, and it is a known issue with SC4 (perhaps Deluxe edition only?). It is caused by saving a large city while using 1600x1200 resolution, and so will happen when either rendering a region or saving your city. Unfortunately there is no known fix for this (at least that I know of), so reinstalling the game/using the patch isn't a cure. The config.bmp pixel size and color is not the problem either. The only way to undo it is to switch to a lower resolution and then render/re-save your cities. Yeah, it sucks. I've decided to just live with it, because I don't like using a lower resolution. However, if anyone knows of a verified fix for this, I'd love to hear it!
  5. Central Plaza

Geez, some people just don't know how to read (e.g. SomeFormOFhuman). I like the INTENTIONAL 4-sided design! Good job.
  6. Show us your Downtown!

All these downtowns are great! I love the variety! Keep 'em coming!
  7. Show us your Downtown!

Date: 6/1/2005 5:22:11 AM Author: ephorex_77 Nice first post ehatch. Those two plateaus look very strange . I really like the look of that downtown. Maybe you could show us a zoomed in view of your downtown . Ask and you shall receive! Took a few more shots today. The best part of viewing other people's cities is getting ideas for your own....I know I am! Wolverine, I like your New York-style city (I know you said it's not, but it does look like it). Great job!
  8. Show us your Downtown!

Haven't posted before, but I came across this and thought I'd show what I *hope* is my more realistic downtown (it's what I was trying to go for). The city has a modest downtown with the surrounding area all light-density zoning. It's an all-in-one city (all RCI is in this city; hardly anything in the adjacent areas) with a population of roughly 150,000. City status: complete. No more work will be done on it, I've moved on to another area. BTW, great job on all those downtowns! Big, small, skyscraper jungles, no skyscrapers at all, I like 'em all. Variety is good - it'd be a shame if everyone did the same thing. Sorry for the WAY zoomed-out view, but it's the only one I've got without going back into the game and taking another one (I'm really just too lazy to do it).
