Cape Town, South Africa. A truly world-class African city. 769x769 map of the entire Cape Peninsula. Cape Town and Robben Island (where Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years) is in the northwest sector. Build this vibrant city, as well as the shanty towns of the Cape Flats, the elite enclaves of Hout Bay and Llandudno, as well as the world-renowned winelands of Stellenbosch. This region is dear to me as I hail from South Africa. Oh, and that flat-topped hulk is Table Mountain. :-)

769x769 map of Macau. This former portuguese colony is located on the south-western tip of the Pearl River delta in China. The territory consists of the Macau peninsula, Taipa island and Coloane island, all connected by causeways. I've added small islands on the ocean-borders in order for you to extend your causeways across city borders. The land to the west is part of mainland China. Download the config.bmp for correct configuration (9 large cities).

Home of the sphinx and the pyramids. 769x769 (9 large cities) map of the Nile delta region in Egypt. Cairo is at the centre. It includes Alexandria, the Suez canal, the delta cities and Red Sea resort towns. Again, this is a handdrawn map, so it doesn't score 100% on accuracy. Use Teirisu's Sandy Desert terrain mod and Joerg's Medeterranean water mod for desert look. Hope you'll enjoy.

769X769 (9 large cities) map of southern California. Includes LA, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs. This is a handdrawn map which I think isn't too bad. Use it, don't use it... :-) For the medeterranean look use Teirisu's Shrubby Desert terrain mod and Joerg's Medeterranean water mod. NB!! After rendering, use the Soften terraforming tool in god mode to eliminate terrace-effect due to elevation changes, for a smooth appearance as in photo.

California - the Sunshine State. This map is 769x1025 = 12 large cities. It stretches from the Bay Area in the north to the Mexican border in the south and includes San Francisco, LA, San Diego, Death Valley, the Sierra Nevada etc. The city maps for LA, SF and SD are somewhat exaggerated in scale to represent their distinct geographical features. This is a handdrawn map but I tried my best to make it as accurate as possible. Please download the accompanying configCA.bmp file for correct layout. NB!! After generating the region, each map must be smoothed ideally 15 times in God Mode (using the terrain effects tool) before establishing any cities - otherwise the elevation changes will result in sharp ridges. For snowcapped peaks like in the photo, use Teirusu's Arctic/Snowcapped (lower) terrain mod.
