I think this is great idea especially since I could care less about 3d. There continues to be some great additions to SC4 created by all the incredibly talented people on this board. Plus I am still working on some regions that I am not ready to give up to play some sim city brain dead edition. Whatever (non technical) support I could give for this, I would.

I definitely terraformed it by hand, so, I appreciate the artist compliment. I obviously didn't do it from memory, but, rather an atlas and a printed topographic map. It is not to any particular scale and the rivers and mountains are only my representations based on the maps I looked at. But, it took me about 16 hours or so (not in one day) to make it. I also terraformed an even bigger map of the US, that includes the entire continental US, southern Canada, northern Mexico, and part of the Bahamas. I also put in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Hawaii. It took me several months to do that one and I only just started playing it. I was going to post a picture of it here, but, it was too big for me to even open in the Region Census program (15x22 large cities). It taxes my computer just to play it. But, I ordered more memory, so, hopefully, I will be able to get a picture then. I hope more people post their maps, because I really enjoy seeing what people have created.

Everyone's regions are amazing. This is a hand terraformed region I did of the United Kindgom, Ireland, and part of France. I haven't actually started building any cities on it yet. http://img495.imageshack.us/img495/8416/unitedkingdomthumb1jz.jpg align=baseline>
