  1. Apologies for not responding back for so long. Sometimes life gets in the way. . . . I've checked the text file Prophet42 mentioned and it appears to be updating normally. There's a lot in the file I don't understand but things like resolution and level of detail seem to be set to my desires. I cannot identify the items in this file which deal with edge reconciliation, day/night settings or last region played and I'm hesitant about changing things I don't understand. Thanks, everyone, for your response.
  2. Good Day All, I'm having a small problem with SC4 and hope someone smarter than me can point me toward a solution. SC4 is not remembering my last region, city, day/night or edge reconciliation settings. After I save and exit a session, the next time I start SC4 it puts me back onto a default region with the tutorials. It's not a problem, I can find the region and city easily enough. Starting a saved city always gives me the edge reconciliation option box even after I've told it to ignore it. I suspect something has changed in the .ini file but have no idea what to look for. Anyone have any thoughts?
  3. No, this is the Steam version. Had it working in Win 7 but new computer came with Win 10. Spending most of my time tweaking FSX but thought I'd relax a bit with SC4. Wrong. I've got the path to the Steam Library\......\SC4\app executable. Launcher loads but when I select play the screen flashes like it's going to start then returns to the Launcher screen on the desktop. Installed the launcher in the C:\ drive although the Steam Library is on an external drive F:\ Disk version not installed. Steam handled the transfer. Loaded Steam on new computer C:\ drive as normal. In games menu I selected a game from the Steam Library on the external. Asked to install it, said yes, on same drive. Steam checked for existing file, found them and did not do a re-install. At same time also found all other Steam games in that library and activated them in the Steam games menu. Much easier than I thought. Saved games (cities), plugin and region files copied over from old computer into new computer Documents directory. SC4 starts normally if executed from Steam games menu or short cut on Desk Top.
  4. New computer and re-installed the launcher. Path is correct (steam version). Launcher asks to insert the disk. Now what? Bill

    Wonderful Lot!! Thought I'd found all the dependencies but ended-up with just one little missing prop right in the middle of the lot. Looks like I may have missed the flag somehow.

    I've been attempting to dl this for several days and keep getting "this file may have been deleted" errors.  I've dl'd many other files successfully.

    Can you do one of Nikumaroro, aka Garder Island? It's a small atoll 4 deg N of the equator in/near the Phoenix Islands group. It is believed that Amelia Earhart and her navigator, Fred Nonan may have landed here after missing Howland Island during there attempt to fly around the world in June/July 1937.     I live near here. Can you add the .SC4M file for Wouanagaine's mapper. Your other regions have it, this one slipped through without it for some reason. Thanks. WMM
