That's not an update, but I'm close to one, Menethil is near completition So, today I thought about, how to continue bulding on the region... So I finally came to the conclusion, that I'll build another metropolis on the map BUT you shall decide, were on the map! I select the 2 sections, one thime north(1) and one time south(2) for you to choose. THE POLL WILL END ON FRIDAY, 3 PM EST, SO TELL ME, IF AT SECTION 1 OR AT SECTION 2 A NEW METROPOLIS SHOULD BE BUILD! So thanx for every vote

After some stress in the last weeks I finally found time to continue building... And now, here's the update for you ------------------------------------------------------------- Menethil* and the 2 Mushroom Cities [voice of an old man on] Some time gone away since we saw us the last time... Let's go a bit east of Bently City, I'm curious what happened there... *loosing the breath* Oh my god! This once was Bently Forest... Now it's just another city? I can't believe it! May we should look around a bit... At least something I recognize! Behelia, so this small city was called and I hope it's still so, was always one of the centers of immigrants from SimEurope... espacially from the Netherlands and from Germany. They brought much culture with them, in this small city you can find more museums than in hole Bently City! But we shall go on... This is the Bently Lake. I used to go swim here when I was young... It was always quiet here, now it's just as busy and full with tourists as Delmenhorst or Bently City. This block of houses looks old... But I can only remember the tramline, that once headed to Bently City Center... Oh no, not that... I have to go now, but we'll see us again, I promise.[voice of an old man off] Hmrpf, this old man was here again, am I right?.. Hm okay, let's see the actual topic, Menethil and the Mushroom Cities One of the Mushroom Cities. You may wonder, why they're called this way? You have to know, that Bently County had (and still has) space problems for all the imigrants that came here. In the 1960s these buildings made with precast concrete slabs sprouted here like mushrooms. So the actual name of that city is Auberdine*. This city is espacially known for the sportpark north of it. The other Mushroom City is Dolanaar*. But there's not much more special about So this is Menethil*. This city was founded after Bently City become capital of the region. Since then it grew fast and has more inhabitants than Bently City. But still you say Menethil* is in the agglomeration oh Bently City and not the other way round Both cities always competed and Menethil* always lost the fight for the most important industrial and financial center of Bently County. So people from Bently City and from Menethil* still hate each other a bit - espacially the people from Menethil* the people from Bently City... But Menethil* has something, that Bently City doesn't have: A TV Tower! So there's nothing special about but the TV Tower of Menethil* is also very popular with the people from Bently City ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, feel free to comment/give criticism as usual. *Yes, I'm playing World of Warcraft

Hm, wow, so much nice feedback, I wouldn't have expected this So thanks everyone @Pichu0 Hm, sorry, Bently City is full sold out, you'll even not get a small 1-room-flat @petriknl I guess you mean the Statistische Bundesamt from Wiesbaden/Germany. I use it ase region administration office Download it here . P.S.: I also would've continued, if noone would've answered, it was more or less a joke (what not means, you shouldn't post anything). P.P.S.: Yeah, the old man is the show, but I won't tell more about him P.P.P.S.: Cause I'm really amazed of all your nice comments, you'll get an exclusive pre-pre-pre-preview of the city I'm workin' on. So, it will still need 1-2 day, till I'm ready for an update, so be patient But shhhhhht

Hey, come on guys, without more feedback, this CJ won't get so good Anyway I will continue now [voice of an old man on] Hum, we'll know us, don't we? Yeah we saw us yesterday when I told you about Delmenhorst and Bently County... Hum, I'll continue telling you about Bently City a bit, whether yo don't want to hear *grinning* The youth today isn't that what it was years ago, so listen to an old man *cough* So, hm, what I wanted to tell you about? Oh right, Bently City... Long long ago when I was young the new capital of Bently County was founded - Bently City. The old capitol - Delmenhorst - didn't meet the requirements of a capitol... So Bently City fast became the industrial and financial center of the region... Long ago I was here. All that what's the present downtown was years ago the hole town. Hum, there's not much remain of that time... The cathedrale, some other churches, some houses, the central and elevated rail stations... Someone told me, the Sun Boulevard is the beating heart of the city. *cough* I don't know... It's not that what I've expected. I thought people would have more respect for the past cause where the Sun Boulevard is today, there were years ago beautiful mansions of the city's rich community... Ah, something I can remember... It's the Bently Bank Corp Tower built arround 1930 here. I'll never forget the view you had over the city from the top of the building years ago... Also the central station changed, it was once just a terminus, now rails go through it... Hum, looks very old - this must be the last rowhouse quarter of the city that was build after founding the city... Can I trust my eyes?! That's the old library! I can remember the opening of that wounderful building... I can't remember that port. It can't be very old. And all the industry arround? I thought there was a forest... Hm, I've been too long too far away... [voice of an old man off] Hm, who is that old man? He's stealing my show So, let's see, what he didn't already showed you but what's worth to. The Underground Mall next to central station is always cooled and is cause of the heat all over the year always very full of people who needs some cooling down. The latest trends and other things you'll get to know in the convention center, where always is a fair you can visit. Away from the business - let's visit the city's parks! Or let's have some fun at the GoKart Track. WTF? Why are there trees on the track? ----------------------------------------------------------- Hm, there's still a question for the next episode: Who is the old man who's stealin' my show, it makes me angry() Feel free to comment/ give criticism.

Wow, the pic of Dubai's downtwon is simply stunning, it looks so... futuristc And this pic I think, you can get a good idea of the dimension the Burj Dubai has, 'cause you got the other buildings arround to compare. Something about Dubai nerves me: There are so many similar skyscrapers, that makes it sometimes a bit boring to look at new planned building complexes in Dubai Actually I wanted to rebuild the pre-war Ged

W0WoW0WOW0WoW0W. I just got up and don't need a cup of coffee anymore(what means, that the pic is so AMAZING that I totally woke up now (and that means much[:0])) Date: 3/29/2005 2:38:42 PM Author: Fox I reakon you should make a roof for that and release that part as a mall...lol.. while we wait for the big one.quote> Great idea There's a big lack of modern stile malls and it would be so suitable So, if you decide to make a mall as prerelease for the Burj Dubai, I would be honored may providing you some moddelling help oder anything And: If may your computer gets very slow on some parts oder something doesn't work how you want it to, don't give up. It's nerving but good to train patience And maybe nothing is interessted in the story of my ava, but I will tell you It's nothing special, just my favourite Berlin building (yes I'm from Berlin), the Kaiser Wilhelm Ged

Nice, very tropical! It makes me really feel seeing my favourite city (beside Berlin of course), Buenos Aires.

Such great work, certainly one of the most impressiv buildings in the world and of course one of the most impressiv in the BAT-world(found no better word, but I think you all know what I mean) Date: 3/29/2005 2:38:42 PM Author: ZeramZeram What is really amazing is the number of people who are truly hateful of anything being built in Dubai. They simply can't stand the fact that a small Middle Eastern country could outshine the west (or the far east) in terms of amazing architecture. But then, who'd've expected Petronas in Kuala Lumpur?quote> OMG, you're so right. 30 years ago no one would've expected that Dubai will become like a futuristic city with such skyscrapers, it's just awesome what they're building there. Here are some of my favourite projects (sorry for stealing the show ) The Lakeview Tower May not be the tallest with abot 150 meters, but very beautiful! Or the Al Fattan Marine Towers About 240 meters. And my favourite under my favourites(): The Almas Tower with 350 meters. So beautiful @andisart Did you already tell the story about your avatar? Or is it similar to MayorTim's story?
