This is my first upload on the STEX and thus my first building to be released to the public. I have decided not to include any images in the upload to reduce the file size. There is only one version, because it does not have any nightlights. The building of the Amelandseplein is a medium density wall 2 wall building. It is a good example of a 40's and 50's Dutch porch building, although some elements are not that common. The name of the BAT is named after the street it is located in. It is inspired by a Dutch building in the south of Rotterdam, but it could fit in any other North European or North American city. If you stumble upon any problems, you can always send a personal message on SC4D or Simtropolis or leave a comment in the BNL board on SC4D. This plug-in has the following dependencies. Make sure you have them in your plug-ins folder before complaining about brown boxes. BSC MEGA Props - SG Vol. 01 BSC MEGA Props CP Vol. 01 BNL Essentials v1.1 or later Name Amelandseplein Capacity 47 R$ Growth Stage 5/4/3 Power Consumption 1 Water Consumption 1 Bulldoze Cost § 258 Pollution Air:5.0 Water:5.0 Thanks to FrankU for making the LOT of this model.- 8 Comments

Thank you for the quick response. I was trying to make a ditch, which has generally tall grass next to it. I have already tried applying a grass texture to the edges, but it didn't give me the result I wanted. I could try to make the surface more irregular and so creating a tall grass affect. I will see what I will do. Thanks for the help.

I am trying to use the Hair and fur modifier to make realistic grass.

OK, thanks. I have got another question. Is there a way to render objects with a modifier from the World Space Modifier ? It says that it is not able to render a WSM.

While installing the BAT4MAX script I got this message: I have the latest version of 3ds max (2013) installed, so I assume the nightlights of bat4max might not be compatible with 3ds max 2013 yet?

Maybe it's asked earlier, but is there a upgrade from the original game to the rush hour expansion? Cause most of the downloads wouldn't work with the original game. Is there anyone who's got an answer? -Matthijs

Since there are no shops anymore which sells the rush hour game, is there anywhere where I can download the expansion or shall I have to buy it on ebay or something?

I love those Amsterdam buildings, too. A complete list of those buildings and also from other uploaders can you find here on SC4D [external link]. You can stop growing Maxis buildings by installing this mod or similar. To make this mod work you'll need some stage 1 and 2 buildings. And yes, that other picture is a Frisian 'terp'village. I'm using the Meadowshire terrainmod from c.p. and you can find it here on the LEX [external link] Cheers, -Matthijs

You've made a good progress Great work on the bassin. I'm not an experienced BATter, so I can't give you that much advice, too. Look forward to see it finished.

Hey, look, another Dutch CJ popped up! You've made a good start here. I especially like that rolling landscape. The only thing I would suggest you is to use more custom content, as the others already mentioned. If you have installed the NAM, and I bet you have, you can make a smoother roundabout by dragging a circle of one-way road, in the same direction as in RL. You can also use some BATs and I see you're Dutch, then you might like this list on SC4D. There you can find a lot of good Dutch BATs. Don't worry about those yellow pause things. If the shot is good then you don't see that, but do that as few as you can! Otherwise, keep it up and I'm already looking forward for a new update -Matthijs And if you want, a Dutch translation: Hee, weer een nieuwe Nederlandse CJ! I've heard somewhere that if you want to export a model from SketchUp to .3ds that you need the pro version. Is that right? Google SketchUp is a lot easier . -Matthijs

I've been playing SC4 since I was 13...I'm now 21!
mave94 replied to poshbakerloo's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I played SC 3K since I was 10. Then I discovered SC4 by an friend. I'm now 16 and I'll never let the game go. Since a year or so I'm playing with custom content. Started a few weeks ago with the BAT. I will never stop playing it!
