  1. Region too big for Region Census?

According to Drunkapple, the map creator, it's a 4GB map.
  2. After my last topic of Region Census no longer working due to a suspicious file, I got the problem fixed by downloading a better antivirus program. However, the Region Census will not show my region and I'm wondering if it is the size of it. My region I'm trying to work on is 21x19 big city tiles wide. I have a few smaller regions I have worked on but they will show up no problem on the Region Census. I'm wondering if size does matter when viewing the region and if this solution can be fixed. I want to show my region when I decide to bring it to the journals and Region Census is what I need to use. Any ideas?
  3. So I'm back on SC4 trying to create a new region that I do want to do a journal on and to take an overall picture of a region, I generally use Sawtooth's Region Census. However, my computer detected a suspicious item when I opened it up after having it for years and it won't let me redownload it. With that being said, is there another program to use or do I have to try and find a way to let it work again on my computer?
  4. Top Ten Modd Suggestions

Looking for a mod where trees are automatically plopped when making a region. Trying to create a region with a big map and do not want to waste time plopping trees before working on the whole region. If there is one, tell me where to look for. If not, oh well.
  5. Official Mapping Community Requests - Take Two

Hi nicebutevil, Sounds interesting to do, as the area is probably available in high definition datas. Do you want the whole Whidbey island "only" or with some part of the area around ? EDIT : I did a test, only zoning the entire Island, tell me what you think about that : Whidbey (1/3 arc resolution) This map is already quite huge in my opinion (8 x 13 big tiles), and including the town of Bellingham into it would be gigantic. Actually, there is about 100 kilometers between the city's center and the southern end of Whidbey Island ! It represents more than 24 big tiles... So mapping that enormous area would become very difficult in term of RAM memory... If you really want a map including Bellingham and the island, I would suggest to cut this island and only keep the northern part... ... and it would make a big map either ! Tell me and I will put this one exactly what you want in the machine ! Izi It really doesn't matter to me. I would like as much of the surrounding area as possible such as Camano Island, San Juan Islands, and some of western Skagit County, but if the map is going to be too big to include Bellingham and the Canadian Border, then feel free to drop those.
  6. Official Mapping Community Requests - Take Two

Good day everyone. I have a request for a map of some parts of Western Washington. <iframe width="425" height="350" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;ll=48.451066,-122.082825&amp;spn=1.109398,2.469177&amp;t=m&amp;z=9&amp;output=embed"></iframe><br /><small><a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;ll=48.451066,-122.082825&amp;spn=1.109398,2.469177&amp;t=m&amp;z=9&amp;source=embed" style="color:#0000FF;text-align:left">View Larger Map</a></small> This area may be big but this whole area is the area where I grew up in. Now I don't expect much, but for those who are familiar with this map, I would like to get at least the whole part of Whidbey Island on there and maybe even Bellingham as well. Okay, the HTML obviously didn't want to work so I'll give you a link instead. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=48.451066,-122.082825&spn=1.109398,2.469177&t=m&z=9
  7. Rotating/Flipping A Map

Sorry it took me a while to respond, been a bit busy lately. Anyway, the techniques work. Thank you.
  8. Rotating/Flipping A Map

The file is an SC4M. I know if it was a greyscale, it would be a lot easier.
  9. Rotating/Flipping A Map

If anyone can help me on this subject, I just downloaded a region and I am not completely satisfied with it. The terrain and everything is fine, I just want to rotate the map. I tried many ways to and all it does is screw the terrain up. Is there any possible way to rotate the map without changing the terrain levels? If so, please help me out on this.

I guess we can forget about CityScape now? This looks awesome!
  11. Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support

Is there going to be any SPUI interchange puzzle pieces that will go over the RHW?
  12. The End

Let's just say that the city of Whitevale went through a bad natural disaster. I'm sorry about your computer getting a virus. I will continue to look forward to see what you will do next.
  13. Welcome to Eversack

Thank you for all your feedback! It's a big region. After many attempts to make a perfect region layout, I think THIS one will do it. It's got mountains, islands, and flat areas. All perfect for cities and farms. Spoiler Alert. The next entry will be about Interstate 61 in Pendell County. The freeway runs along the Eastern side of the state and will include the cities of Chenewick, Leighsville, and Kutbirth. And yes, this journal is planned to be a "road geek" journal. It should be in anywhere from 3 days to a week and a half.
  14. Welcome to Eversack

Welcome to the state of Eversack. Established in 1883, Eversack was home to many native tribes, but is now filled with busy cities, rural farms, and tourist traps. The state of Eversack consists land and waters of 737 square miles (12x12 big city tiles). Here's an areal view of the state (without cities): I also have a map of the county boundaries. (Remember, it's not a state without counties.) My region is still under construction. I will keep you posted.
  15. Show us Your Interchanges!

It doesn't help that much, but I'll look for it. I hope it wasn't a site where you had to pay for it.
