The past few days I have been so happy to see Bobb662's BATs back up on the STEX. I love his BATs and was happy to finally get to download them. What do I see today? All of his BATs are gone! Why is this, what happened to them? I can't see a reason for them to disappear.

The tailights are the dead giveaway. It's the new BMW 5-series Gran Turismo (GT).

There are so many old BATS that have been erased due to a number of reasons. I think we should have a revival of those old BATS. There are approximetally 421,000 members on Simtropolis somebody would have these old classic BATS. Why should we do this.....because so many people on Simtopolis have asked where's this old BAT, where's that one. This would put a rest to all of that. We would go about doing this by asking those BATers who made the classic files for permission to re-upload them to the STEX. But.......if the original BATer has not been active on Simtropolis, SimPeg, or SC4Devotion for over a year or two we should just re-upload them. If they haven't been on any of those sites for over a year or two they obviously aren't involved with SC4 and probably don't really care what happens. But.........this goes against STEX rules. To accomadate that we would re-upload those classic BATs is the original creators name instead of the re-uploaders name. This would still give the original creator credit for their hard work and we as a community could still enjoy their BATs. I think that a lot of people would be really happy if we just uploaded these classic BATS. Like this idea? Vote to see it in action here!

I think that rule can be changed to accomidate these kind of BATs without disrespecting or stealing from others. If the BATs were once there the creators obviously don't mind having them on the STEX and if we uploaded them in a different way than other BATs then we could still give the original creators the credit. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Do the files not come with dependencies? That should solve your problem.

This is why I said if the original creator has not been on Simtropolis or other SC4 sites for over a year or two that we should upload their files anyways. If they have not bothered to come to any of these sites they obviously aren't involved with Simtropolis or anything else to do with SC4. The biggest example if Bobbo662. He hasn't been on SC4 for over a year, he's obviously not coming back. Tons of people have been pleading for his BATs and much less than 98% of them are there. These are the things I am talking about. There is a way to get these BATs back onto the STEX without disrespecting the original creators (upload in their name).

beebs: You have to admit that not everything is on the STEX. There are files that are no longer there. Things have disappeared from the STEX.
