  1. Barnes Noble Booksellers

An excellent effort. My only small complaint is the red on the roof and awnings. Every Barnes and Noble I've ever been to had green instead. Ah well. :)
  2. Trump International Hotel and Tower

(cont'd) I'd done wrong so I could fix them. If I were making real world buildings, I'd want them to be as accurate as possible, even if the real building wasn't finished yet. geoff's isn't scaled accurately, that's all most of us are saying.
  3. Trump International Hotel and Tower

HighRiser: just because most of us haven't created our own BATs doesn't mean we are incapable of seeing problems or should never mention said problems. If I WERE making my own BATs, I would APPRECIATE people pointing out things (cont'd)
  4. Trump International Hotel and Tower

Just ignore anyone who complains about the height, as I said before, the height is virtually perfect. It's the length and width that are off, and if I had been visiting here very often lately, I WOULD have pointed that out in your thread before you finished and released it.
  5. Trump International Hotel and Tower

I checked the vertical scaling, and taking into account the antenna, it's virtually perfect. But as I and others have been mentioning, the width and length need to be adjusted in relation to the height.
  6. Trump International Hotel and Tower

I haven't checked how well the height is scaled in-game for the real world size, but the height/width ratio is definately way off, by maybe as much as 50%... This is a fat version of a building that in real life is going to be much skinnier than you've depicted it.
  7. ATT Corporate Center

I too will be waiting for the updated version. I was going to make the comment that it seemed a bit too big to fit into the game properly, but it sounds as if you're taking care of that. :)
  8. The BAT buildings light up just fine for me (at least the ones that had night lighting properly created by the architect!), and I'm on 98...
  9. Aon Center Chicago IL

Personally I think it's a little too skinny for its height compared with the real one. But not bad.
  10. Modern MonorailBusSubway Station

    Great work! Very good looking.
  11. Hampton Inn Hotel

5x4 growables are EASY to grow if you use Ctrl to zone a 5x4 lot... I can get them whenever I want that way.
  12. Republic Plaza Singapore

Probably a local ordinance similar to San Francisco, where a building isn't allowed to be taller than the Transamerica Pyramid.
  13. You should have waited a day, Tropod. Considering the timing and the current changes on the site, I can't help but wonder whether this is real or another well-crafted piece of a very elaborate prank...
  14. BAT Parking Structure

I'm curious, why so low a capacity? The Maxis-Made one holds more than that, and this appears to be larger than theirs is...
  15. DuskTroopers Frank Archai Tower

Dusk, I know you made it a 4x3, what I was saying is I am pleased because it fits on a 4x2. I made a 4x2 lot for it right away when I downloaded it. :D I was very pleased!
  16. Looks good! But I would suggest making it shorter. Cars can take pretty steep hills, so there's no need to make the slope as long and smooth as you did for the rail version. I'm sure we can get someone to help make this fully transit-enabled once it's completed...
  17. DuskTroopers Frank Archai Tower

FINALLY! I've been waiting and waiting for someone to make another building that fits on a 4x2 lot. I only had one till now and it popped up all the time! Now there will be two!
  18. Personally, I'd much rather see the reverse of this. I'd prefer the road to go under the rail line, because in the real world heavy rail lines don't change height very often because its a LOT harder for a train to take than a car...
  19. Food Lion Grocery Store

Nice work. New retail stuff is needed as badly as new skyscrapers are. :)
  20. First Interstate Bank Tower

The latest picture looks much better, but now I'm thinking you might want to try exaggerating the window lines a little bit. They're almost lost now, and it makes the building look less detailed.
  21. First Interstate Bank Tower

I wish I had BAT skills so I could assist you with the color scheme, but 3D stuff is not my forte. I learned that lesson in college. I do agree though, it's difficult to make buildings for SC4 that are highly reflective. The texturing options don't allow that kind of glass without some creative tinkering it seems, as I haven't seen many reflective glass structures that looked realistic thus far. My guess is you're not the only one who's not quite sure what to do to get it...
  22. First Interstate Bank Tower

Well, personally I think you've got the shading reversed... it should be darker near the bottom than toward the top, because when seen from the air, reflective buildings will reflect more ground than sky, the reverse of how they look from ground level... That's part of the reason Maxis' original texture for Yates Real Estate looked so ridiculous. It looked like it was only reflecting sky, even though our perspective is looking DOWN on it.
  23. Wal-Mart Supercenter

I still wish someone would make one that would fit on a 6x6 lot so that it would be easy to make it growable. Looks good though, regardless of whether it's something I'll actually use.
  24. One Exchange Plaza

Excellent work. Will make a good addition to my cities.
  25. its a Custom Query tutorial

I'm afraid I can't give it a full ten, because it didn't really explain everything I was hoping for. But you should know that I'm really stingy with my tens anyway. Giving something a ten is meaningless if you rate EVERYTHING that high. :) This is definately nine quality though.
