  1. Reddonquixote's BAT thread

Just downloaded Q1. Excellent work as always. I doubt the MCG would be popular with players from counties that dont play AFL or Cricket, maybe a Commonwealth Games version would work, but the MCG would be good, the whole sporting precinct would be good. Keep up the good work.
  2. Surf Coast

Happy New Year from Fairhaven down on the Surf Coast. Like most Victorian coastal towns its filling up for another New Years Eve. People are already starting to gather at the Lighthouse. In town at the pub. And in the camp grounds Only a couple of hours to go. Thanks for viewing and Happy New years in 2014.
  3. Palais Theatre, Melbourne, Australia

  4. Batmania 1955

Welcome back to Batmania. Its now 1955 and the islands capital Georgetown is growing fast. The population on the island has now grown to 270 000. The majority of immigration is people fleeing from China. With such a rapid increase there is a massive housing shortage. The majority of building materials and labour are being used to build infrastructure projects around the island. Some housing blocks have been built by the government but the majority of the new immigrants are living in shanties on the outskirts of town. The slums in North Georgetown. Government housing, next to a drain and a tip. The airport is finished but it's not open to civilian use. The RAAF and RAF have been using it as an auxiliary runway for missions in neighboring Malaysia. Would you drink that water? The locals will be. The Telukdalam River has been transformed with a series of dams and drains designed to prevent the Airport from flooding and to supply a steady flow of drinking water. High Ridge Rd, which will cut the time to drive to the central valley by an hour, has been finished. Thanks for viewing. More updates soon.

  7. The City of Greater Geelong

Welcome Back to Geelong. It's been an up and down 2 weeks for the Cats. They lost to North Melbourne last week in a game that saw the Scott twins coaching opposing sides against each other. But they won this week to regain second place on the ladder Heres my latest update as i slowly good back though the city. Just north of Geelong there's a suburb called North Geelong. I added some marinas and changed some of the zoning but otherwise it's still basicly the same. Thanks for viewing. More updates soon.
  8. The City of Greater Geelong

Welcome back to Geelong. If you want to know how Geelong went in the AFL finals, bad, very bad. First the AFL side lost their first game to Hawthorne since 2008, in the Preliminary Final by 5 points. Then the VFL side lost the Grand Final to Hawthorne after dominating the season all year. We've also lost some champions at the club to make way for the younger guys in the VFL squad. I haven't had much time or motivation to work on Geelong lately. But as the weather gets warmer i might head down to the region just south of Geelong to the Surf Coast. I looked at some of the maps recently and they are due for an update. Thanks for viewing and don't forget to look up my earliest entries to see the Surf Coast before an upgrade.
  9. The City of Greater Geelong

Welcome back to Geelong. I haven't had much time to do many updates lately, but here's a quick update. The Cats lost their first home final to Fremantle last week in a disapointing game. Luckily they won this weekend against Port Adelaide. In what should be the Grand Final, Geelong now has to play it's arch rival Hawthorne in the preliminary final. Geelongs VFL side is also playing Hawthorne this week, in the VFL Grand Final. Without any finished updates to show i thought i show some pictures i took while working in Geelong recently. The view from work. Looking across Eastern Beach The view from my carpark Thanks for Viewing. More updates soon.
  10. Batmania 1950

Welcome back to Batmania. After 5 years of open imigration the population has swelled to 60000. The British government has changed the laws to slow migration. With such a rapid increase in population the living standards on the island have dropped and crime has risen. A massive cash injection from Britain and Australia have helped infrastructure projects get started, which has put alot of the population to work, but has also caused tension as the Australian and British men are getting the leading roles. It's also caused tension with the native population with bulldozers moving into the central valley and farms being built on native land. The cash injection has also made locals suspicious that Britain wont be granting independence anytime soon. Recently, a mining company survayer team discovered 300 Japanese soldiers still defending a ridge on the north side of the island. The workers were fired upon with one of them being killed. Luckily, one of the workers was Japanese and after 12 hours was able to convince them to surrender. Apart from no knowledge of the outside world for the past 5 years, the soldiers were in good health as they were well supplied and had a surgeon. They've since been returned home. Just south of Georgetown is Pekan. Engineers have arrived on the island to begin work on the Telukdalam airfield upgrade to a bomb crater free airport. Work has also begun on a coal powered generator in the central valley. Thanks for viewing.
  11. Batmania 1946

Welcome Back to Batmania. Still no word from London about any move to grant independence. Some tension is building amongst the natives as more and more imigrants arrive from Australia, Thailand and China. Today i'm showing the town of Victoria Harbour, Established in 1830, when the British bought the island, a harbour was built on an existing natural harbour. Up until the British arrived, the north western side of the island was untouched, except for a Dutch fort built on Point Wilhelm. Batmania saw some bloody battles during the war. The Japanese bunkers are still in good condition. If you were wondering what happened to Barry and Shirley, Shirley shacked up with someone else during the war leaving Barry heartbroken. He's since found love with a native bride. Thanks for viewing. Some more updates soon.

  15. The City of Greater Geelong

Welcome back to Geelong. Bad news, the Cats lost last week to the Adelaide Crows. Which put them 3rd on the ladder until the Bombers(2nd) lost to the Hawks(1st) last night and put Geelong back in 2nd. But the good news is they play the St Kilda Saints tonight under the new lights in Geelong. We're still exited about our new lights. Here's the eastern side of the CBD of Geelong. Thanks for viewing. More updates soon.
  16. Flinders Street Station, Melbourne, Australia

Bloody awesome! Keep up the good work!
  17. Riprap Seawall Pipes

    Awesome!
  18. The City of Greater Geelong

Welcome back to Geelong. Go Cats! Still second on the ladder, but only by percentage. Our arch rival Hawthorne have also only lost two games this season both to Geelong. That takes the tally between the two sides since the 2008 grand final to 11 wins to Geelong, 0 to Hawthorne. Here's the latest shots of the Geelong CBD. I've stolen the skyscapers from the neighbours up the road in Melbourne. Thanks to reddonquixote for your brilliant work. Thanks for viewing. More updates soon.
  19. The City of Greater Geelong

Welcome Back to Geelong. It's finally finished so i thought i would upload some region shots. It's not really finished, it'll never be finished. Thanks for viewing. More updates soon.
  20. The City of Greater Geelong

Welcome back to Geelong. If you've missed the local news, the Geelong Cats(2nd on the ladder) lost to the Brisbane Lions(4th last on the ladder) last week. From being 52 points up in the third quarter, they lost by 5 points. The coach wasn't happy. And also we have a new Prime Minister, well it's the same one we had three years ago that was sacked, and now he's had the one that sacked him sacked and taken her job. It's all a bit confusing and ridiculous but it has put the spotlight on Geelong. The seat of Corangamite, which covers the areas south and west of Geelong, is the countries tightest maginal seat, with less than 750 votes. Add that and with all the major industries in Geelong closing in the past year we can expect a lot of attention and promises. Here's the latest update, Clifton Springs, east of Geelong. Thanks for viewing. More updates soon.
  21. 1880 Census – A Dream Deceived

  22. The City of Greater Geelong

Welcome back to Geelong. Today we're in the suburb of South Geelong, a leafy middle class suburb and home of the Sim Geelong Brewery. The Sim Geelong Brewery makes popular beers such as Chapman Draught, Lingy Lager and Thompson Bitter. Is there a way to get rid of suitcases and abandoned homes? Thanks for viewing, some rural towns be coming in the next update.
