Hi again I just stumbled upon this plugin to make nicer harbors and waterfronts: https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1700 Unfortunately my entire region's land level is way to high. My land level is, as you can see on the left, to high for the plugin to work proper. There's an actual gap between water and concrete. I'd prefer land level being more like the right side, ultimately even lower. I have this issue in my entire region. (all cost area's) Is there a way to modify a map - lowering all land areas without destroying everything? I don't mind a few buildings being demolished in the process, but I'd like to avoid having the 5 million residents region totally broken. ' EDIT: How about stuff like landscape designer? Thanks in advance Sincerely Naggert

Lowering land without demolishing everything
Naggert replied to Naggert's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Hm, and this is located in the game folder? -
Hello guys To make a long story short, I'll quote Hermes: Have any of you experience with something that can cause such a dramatic increase in water in such a short time? I've been demolishing a few areas trying to figure out whats causing it. I haven't added any plugins since before I started this map. Using CAM, NAM etc and a few smaller plugins which usually dont cause anything like this Thanks in advance

Water consumption skyrocketing - 12.000.000
Naggert replied to Naggert's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
Hm yeah. I didn't intend to use it as a radical mod. I merely wanted to avoid the millions of water pipes below my cities. Maybe I went a little overboard by using the *512 multiplier -
Water consumption skyrocketing - 12.000.000

Oh there's an opera house fix? I was a bit of a newbie 10 years ago My last playthrough was in 2009 - didn't really play to well back then either. I'd figured they fixed such a bug after so long time... Thanks for giving the best answer, once again. -

Water consumption skyrocketing - 12.000.000
Naggert replied to Naggert's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
Another update. I moved my plugins folder. Everything turned out nicer... Suspecting a faulty plugin I suddenly realized what caused it! BEHOLD!!! I had this little fella' installed: Plugin_512Radius_NoTrafPollution.dat So ehm.. Yeah, as a warning... I might cause some issues. EDIT: Any good alternatives to the NoTrafPollution plugin? I used it because I'd rather not spend 15 minutes painting the underground with water pipes. -

Okay. A small update. I went all in with the water pumps. Here I'm using 70.000.000 units of water.... Also. What's up with the Opera House? As soon as I demolish it, I instantly have +200.000 citizens. Getting close to +230.000 within 5 minutes. Sims don't like music? :S -
Hello sirs Plugins should be installed in C:\Users\user\Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins However, does the location from there on matter? Does the name of subfolders, subfolders, subfolders matter? For example I have some of SimGoober's C:\Users\users\Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\SimGoober\Industrials\IM I have downloadet CAMeLOTs CAM Residential, CAM Commercial Offices and CAM Industrial. But even after installing all the dependencies I could find, several times, I still have brown boxes popping up. My thought was, could I have misplaced some filesin the plugin folder considdering there's both DAT, SC4LOT and SC4MODEL? Thanks in advance Sincerely

Thanks for your quick response. English isn't my native language, but what I read is all files can be scattered around and sorted as the individual user pleases? As long as their somewhere in the plugins folder? I'm installing all the .exe files in their default location, assuming file structures had a saying EDIT: Oh!! Turns out this thread had the missing depencies, which werent listed in the readme files!!! https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=2039.0

Looking for a compiled, working file with growable lots
Naggert posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Hello guys I know this might anger some people. But at this point I've been downloading plugins and dependencies for 5+ hours and I'm still getting flooded in brown boxes. CAM, NAM, NDEX, etc etc etc. Might there be a download link / torrent file somewhere with a working plugin-folder? I'm looking for growable buildings in all sizes and types. They should of course be working with CAM. Thanks in advance -

Thank you. I downloaded CAM Commercial Offices BSC (v. 1.0) by barbyw from https://www.sc4devotion.com/ I then downloaded the dependencies. Hm, but I only just now see there's a lot of dependencies marked with yellow... Hmm... See, this might have caused the initial issue.. -

Thank you for a quick response. See, this was the answer I was afraid to get. I might have jumped in to it a little to quickly. I'm overwhelmed by missing dependencies at this point. I might have to just start over from scratch and see where it goes EDIT: Everything was actually working fine for days. I then found LEX? and about 50 CAM growable buildings.. This is where it went bad Worst part is how some plugings lists required plugins and lists dead links. Some packs are merged into others. Some are renamed etc.. -
2.0 pollution problem?
Naggert replied to Board_Marshal's topic in SimCity (2013) Technical Help Q&A
I sorta have the same issue. Air pollutions seems to be spawning from nowhere and it's killing my city. I'm on 150.000 (down from 200k) citizens and they are dying like flies. Buildings are going abandoned and I can't hardly keep up with the demolishing. (It's practically all I do) -
I finally got another one of my old maps working. The missing mod was "waste to energy plant" Seems like I'm missing a prop pack. The name of the building appered in my native language, so I think the buildings are standing SC4 buildings. Would anyone know the name of this missing prop pack? Perhaps a pack that covers more than the ones I have? The ones I have should be: bldgprop_vol1.dat bldgprop_vol2.dat BSC MEGA Props SG Vol 01 After installing: Cerulean_Textures_V101v5.dat The "ground" seems more correct. However what appears to be water fountains, (small white squirts) are still not working

Okay, as the topic says: Is it possible to delete a city (like the one marked) from the region view (like shown on this screenshot) without deleting the terrain? Rottingham is an old town, and I'm missing some dependensies - I really have no idea which, since it's been like a year. Every time I enter the city (Rottingham) the game crashes. Bla bla some error about missing files... Sincerely Edited image size. Please use 800x600 or 600x800 max. -CaptCity

@ A Nonny Moose: Yeah the new map is not an exact copy of the old one. Meh, but I'm not from New York and don't notice. Thank you all, for the help
-
And here are the region after I deleted the map. Looks aswesome, enuff?
-
Oh so many replies. Sorry I went afk for a few days. @ Tonnakin: Indeed you got the essence. I wanted to obliterate the city, but when I entered the city my game crashed to the desktop. @ Vern: Removing everything didnt work. The game crashed afaik due to missing file. Even more missing files wasnt the answer About the map. I think it's a custom map I downloaded. But I have downloaded like 3 different New York regions, because I wasnt satisfied with the title sizes in the first ones. Did you find a suitable map? @ weareanidiot @ editfish: I thought about that. But I dont know which of my New York maps were the original, nor which of the .SC4 map files, were the Rottingham one. I have 14 "cities" on the map. Which means I could have to start copy one file at a time, and reboot the game 14 times before I found the right one :S It is a good option tho... @ Plastic Manc: I think you are right. This is atleast the region with the best grid. All the titles are used, they are all large, and it all looks sweet @ mikeld @ weareanidiot: Exactly. The game still crashed when the plugins folder are empty @ A Nonny Moose: I think I understood it... However: I deleted the city. And had this HUGE blank-green area. I then aligned the map, to all neighbour regions. After that I used the "flatten terrain" option in god mode, and tried to recreate the map. After I was satisfied I pressed "corrosion" a few times and voil

@ hijodecordoba: thanks but no... "which means you can run a very large city on only a windmill power generator and a water tower - We also have instant gratification oordinance for your mayor ratings and a large amount of simoleons for your GodFather Program" I'm sure I didn't have that addon. I know it's quite vague. My towns used to have a small buildings only. nothing fancy. But then after installing some addons like CAM, NAM and some random NDEX files, huge buildings sprung up everywhere like flowers. It went from being like the first screenshot to the second if a few hours.

Why wont it grow! After formatting my comptuer I lost all my SC4 addons and my 8 million ppl region. I'm pretty sad. Especially now when trying to make a new village. I used to have a mod that made things grow! Could it be NDEX? And is there like an NDEX package? This is just a rude town. Loads of unsused resources. Thanks Oh btw. This is what my towns used to look like:

Hi guys! I was just browsing my addons for Simcity 4, when I found CAM - Colossus Addon Mod 1.0 I installed it and loaded my current city with AMAZING results.. New buildins were rising everywhere. And I got more than 200.000 new jobs in an hour... Sadly did CAM also ruin my region view... I came to think, is there some dependencies I should install? Could I be running a wrong patch or something? Sincerely Naggert

My city needs 6.000.000 cu water is that normal?
Naggert replied to Naggert's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
@ Bones1 Hm yeah.. I have some custom BATS.. I've been thinking about if LBT_FireStations could cause it.. @ Spinmaster Heh.. Well.. It actually helped a bit when I connected all the pumps.. Somehow they need to be connected.. I have tried demolishing all the buildings and connecting them again, but my current water usage is still more than 3.000.000
