Okay - you guys can very easily replace the textures for highways to an asphalt texture. We just need someone to do it. Downsides: Ground and elevated highways use the same texture. To change this would require modifying every single piece of ground highway in the game. Also, you cannot change the lane count without a lot of work modifying SC4Path files and RULs. Bottom line: Without serious work, all you can do is change the color.

Poole, Diamond and Associates BAT Showcase

Okay - since I'm probably the first person to say this, I just noticed that the tallest shaft looks like a lime. Or a lemon. How about Lyman Bank Tower or Lemmon Plaza. Just some original thinking. -
Yeah, swamper is right about that picture. Casper: Well, the stack was done by Chozo in a much better form, the Urban Overpasses are lost in Tropod-land, and the Avenue Y-intersection will come soon. Anything I'm forgetting?

mikeseith: You can have overlay textures on transit-enabled tiles. How do you think Maxis did the transit-enabling on the ferry depot? After you do the transit-enabling, open the lot in LE and put the overlay textures on. Problem solved. Daeley: That's funny. About 4 weeks ago, I had the exact same idea about creating a new occupant group to spawn trams. I even e-mailed DM about it, and he said it was totally possible. The only downside is that the core script that defines the Occupant Groups needs to be managed by some authority, so we dont get different permutations of custom Occupant Groups. BTW: Is there any way I can create a mod that removes the Area 5.1 requirement for the Jet Fighter? Id like to have them spawn on the PEG Aircraft Carrier, but they refuse to. vil: Yes, they currently replace trains. However, if Daeley can create a new Occupant Group to spawn these things, then they wont have to replace rail. You can even seperate the tram-carrying lines from the regular lines.

deaf: create a spline in the shape of the railings you need. Then, check Display Mesh and tweak it to your liking. Finally, right-click it and convert it into an Editable Mesh.

Yeah, they are overlay textures. I saw a lot with one like it on the Japanese site. Is that the one you used, Mike? I downloaded that lot just for the texture, then deleted everything except the texture DAT. As for the dirt: does the crossing ALWAYS have that dirt, or just some of the time? Try playing with the wealth level of the station to fix it.

As long as I've been waiting for the Tenerife Opera House, I gotta say, it looks a little 3d. Is it textured yet?

Date: 8/11/2004 2:17:39 PM Author: Daeley I am currently looking for a way to make a custom building spawn a custom vehicle (as I was asked to by Swamper77), this seems to be a similar issue. I have already been successful in making a building spawn any existing kind of automata. I have already found a way to make it work with custom vehicles, but I still have to do some programming to actually see it work ingame. I'll keep you updated. quote> Are you doing this with occupant groups, or effects?

They might be able to be made as part of the NAM. The fact that it runs on cables didn't help, though. For now, why don't you use the gondolas available here: http://ww6.enjoy.ne.jp/~hidemasa/file.html The power lines connect into the ski lodge, and then you place a 1x1 lot next to the lines. This will put a gondola onto the power lines for you. k?

Operation Buffalo Wing: A Blizzard of BAT
ardecila replied to Sabretooth78's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
Oh, so that picture you posted in the BSC Submission thread was a render! I thhought it was a picture from somewhere on the 'Net, or a model railroad scenery book. If that was a render, what was wrong with it? The only problems I see on this one are the textures (unless it actually was constructed like that). -
dragondude65 - I refer you to my thread for information on Two Prudential Plaza. Vid, TGC is working on the Frost Bank Tower, and he recently said he is still BATting, but isn't satisfied, and wants to continue in order to ensure good quality. (I also plan to start a Home Depot. Not a word outside this thread, guys.)

Why would anyone want a double-diagonal road? Rail I can understand, and Onewayroad too. But road? Oh, and JEC/Builderman - I'm not sure if the dragging methods will allow for a bridge with two networks on it to be built. I could be wrong. If not, you could make it connect to an avenue, which then spilts like the existing bridges do. You could also make it a lot, since there are no intersections.
