Hey look, my submission won! That never happens Yet another great update. I hope that the Army constructs a barracks here. Importing food can get very expensive.

Doube Post, but a bit of an update on things. I've started an entirely new project, scrapping my old ones. School just went into lockdown mode as well, so I'll only have time for my current project, which will also be my entrant portfolio to Advanced Modeling program at my school. I'm putting the previous two buildings up for download. They require Max 2011 or higher to run. Illium Industries Tower Residential Towers My current project and portfolio entry is this: I present to you, Serenity Industries Headquarters (Work in Progress), based heavily off of Greystone Industries' Caprica City HQ in the TV Show "Caprica" There will be several buildings as part of a complex that surrounds all of it. So far, I just have the central tower.

Replies: SimCoug: Thanks! I'm really experimenting with elevated railways in rural areas. I love how they turn out. Sim_Link: Thank you, sir! I am guilty of that, and I tried to break it up a bit. LegoBuilder: Thanks for bringing in the 4th page! And I agree. Lake Windemere has always been a part of the western suburbs. It's my favorite lake so far MamaLuigi: Thank you! It's always fantastic to bring in new fans of the Empire! Also, I see you live in Gilbert! I was just in Mesa a couple of weeks ago, just off Val Vista and the Superstition fwy. Teaser: Further west, outside of Illium City, in the southern foothills of the Serenity Mountains, lies the small city of Highland Village, which we'll see next time! For now, how about a glimpse of the Greystone River early in the morning, which sits north of Highland Village.

  5. Show us Your Interchanges!

That's beautiful, Hal! Is that MIS offramp from the AVE part of the standard NAM?
  6. Show us your Downtown!

Poor Las Colinas. She will be rebuilt in time.
  7. Show Us Your Suburbs

another pretty little suburb from me.

Beautiful. Simply stunning. Your MMP work is beyond outstanding. I really should work on my MMP skills & nature shots. As for a name, I propose Porthaven. I can see this city turning into a major port in the years to come. Especially with the new logging industry.

Replies: Sim_Link: Thanks! I generally don't like to do too much editing to my photos, but that one I felt I could pull it off. LegoBuilder: Haha, I never noticed that. Thankfully, I don't think that people will be base jumping from it Simcoug: Thanks man! Ion_Cannon: Yeah, I generally turn traffic off for performance. I guess when i go for shots from now on, I'll try and remember to turn it on. vivapanda: So far, I'm loving what I'm seeing. If you need a render of Her Majesty's Royal Transport at a certain zoom/angle, let me know. And thank you! Notes: My baby is all good again. My computer is up and running at 110%! Updates: The Ministry of Transportation has been very busy helping rebuild and improve the country. Here are some proposed extensions and improvements to local area transit routes. Construction on the IH-20 Loop South extension and the iCART railway have begun. Maddigan City has once again expanded, this time to the south. A beautiful new suburban neighborhood has popped up, Windemere Estates. The land value is relatively high here, especially lots close to Lake Windemere. Construction of the railway and IH-20 Loop South have been completed now. The railway runs from Highland Village to the west, all the way to downtown Illium City. Loop IH-20 south circles from IH-75 to Yarahi Heights, where it turns into Ft worth Drive. Thanks for visiting the Illium Empire! As always, +1's and comments are more than welcome!

Replies: LegoBuilder: The final construction on the Archangel Exploration Vessel has been delayed due to the war. (IE my house flooding) City_Master: Yessir. Colony Ship, to be exact. Vivapanda: The Queen is en route. I will let you handle her arrival in Heimen, since it is your country, after all. And yes, the water is gone. Benidect: Thank you! TMorgan: No, it's not a vessel of War, thank the Gods. PrideofCascadia: Yes, I've submitted some union applications plus company apps there. You should update it Update: I have been sitting on this for a while now. While the Queen is away, we'll get a glimpse of the Northern province of Callia. This is Thessia City. It sits in the northern end of the Serenity Mountains in a valley along the River of the Kings. it is a modest little city, only boasting about 95,000 people. Here we have Terraria Peak on the North end of Thessia City. It's a great place for telecommunications. Terraria peak is also home to a small wind farm that powers the comms center.
  11. Show us your Downtown!

Nadal, CXL has the potential to create wonderfully beautiful cities, with patience.
  12. Show Us Your Suburbs

Ion, you always make such fantastic suburbs. And wwetom.. where'd you get that street texture?
  13. Computer is up and running, thank the Gods!

  14. Desktop.. Everyone has one of these!

Mine, clean and simple. I grow tired of icons everywhere.

    SO CLOSE!
  16. NO LONGER UPDATED // The Illium Empire

Just another offtopic update, I've ordered a replacement power supply, motherboard, and RAM (video card, CPU and other hardware was salvageable). I should have my computer up and running this week. Hopefully I can resume work on Illium. Thank you all for the support!
  17. NO LONGER UPDATED // The Illium Empire

Just wanna give you guys a quick update, completely unrelated to the CJ, but my house flooded. I haven't been able to use my computer (since the flood caused a short in the power supply). Just after that happened, I got a call from EALA asking me if I was interested in working for them. All they needed was my portfolio... which is on my damaged computer. So, i may be sparse the next couple of weeks, since I'm moving from the house and still searching for parts to salvage for my computer. For this, I deeply apologize. The Illium CJ is one of my favorite hobbies to work on and I absolutely adore it with all my heart. I really appreciate all the support CJ has had in the past few months. My little baby has gotten such great praise!
  18. daTS's BATs

Thanks for the input! I'll definitely take everything into consideration Cockatoo, if you'd like, I could send you the model. I think you could do some amazing variations of it.
  19. daTS's BATs

Double post, I know, but an update on things. The towers in my second post are still high up in my to-do list. The Highway overpass as dropped to the bottom of the list, mainly because I don't really like it. My current project, however, is at the top of the list. Reason? it's for my City Journal. I still have to add (lots of) details and roof junk, but the basic shape and window layout is done. Once that's done, the "Illium" related embellishments will be removed and I'll upload it to the STEX. I'd love feedback though. 355m high with 116 floors. //EDIT: added updated image
  20. NO LONGER UPDATED // The Illium Empire

Remember that twist? Well here's the first teaser of it... and it's a big one. I will be updating hopefully tomorrow evening after my final exam. Hopefully that'll give my computer time to render the 25+ million poly model. Anywho.. ----------------------------------------- Several opponents of the ruling party have been wondering why there is a 1.8 trillion credit spending budget for the "Defense of the Homeland" allotment. The world will soon know what it is...
  21. Heimen

Her Majesty Queen Alexandra Lynn Sariah II is on her way to your capitol, Vivapanda! Looks like she'll land at the new airport pretty soon. It looks fantastic!
  22. Ben's Top Ten +10

I'd like to congratulate Bigro. His CJ definitely deserves top spot this week.
  23. Cityquest

Could the Illium Empire donate a few thousand credits for an overpass on the interstate? right now, eastbound travelers are having a hazardous time exiting and entering the freeway. Otherwise, I'd like to say that this is a beautiful, beautiful CJ. Probably one of the most innovative as well.
  24. NO LONGER UPDATED // The Illium Empire

Just a small update. I've been studying for finals (My final week starts tomorrow!) Anywho, I'm rebuilding the Sariah Airport. It's being upgraded from a regional airport to an International Airport at the moment. While doing so, it gave me a little inspiration to throw something together to keep you all interested. :: REPLIES :: Sim_Link: It will take a very interesting twist, coming up soon. Definitely an unexpected one. City_Master: President Wolfe may be stubborn, but he's not stupid. He knows when he is defeated. LegoBuilder123: Keep in mind that the Empire is still in it's colonial expansion phase. The addition of Calistan under the protectorate will improve the Empire's world standing. TekindusT: Hahahah, I never thought of it that way, but I suppose you're right. :: UPDATE :: A little news Her Majesty Queen Alexandra Lynn Sariah II departs her country (the first time in more than 50 years the queen herself has left the Empire) from the Sariah International Airport, headed to Bijsterveld, Heimen for the peace summit. She is leaving aboard the HTV-91 "Majestic" class Royal VToSL Transport, aptly named "Royal One", escorted by two XJ-35 "Talon" class VToL Gunships.
  25. Republic City

This is fantastic! I personally don't think youu should have added the bridges as a land feature, but that's just me. I think this map is amazing and very creative!
