  1. april 1st Scale Accurate Complete Earth

Holy moly... I imagine that this will actually be possible for computers in 2030 lol.
  2. Can I convert the NAM lots and road/rail/HSR/tram/etc. pieces from SC4 to SC2013 using this tool? Or is that not supported yet?
  3. april 1st 4-to-13 Plugin Converter

This was cruel haha but I would pay $1000 to have access to something like this.
  4. I used the rush hour tutorial city in Timbuktu. When my first high tech industries started popping up, most of my high wealth residents started becoming jobless. Afterwards the high wealth apartments started becoming abandoned or degraded. Furthermore, when I went to see who's commuting to the high tech industry, I only saw medium wealth residents working there and very few if any high wealth residents. What gives? I used this mod after the problems started happening but it didn't do anything:
  5. I recommend building mid wealth residential, or at least attract them towards those jobs. BTW, your repuation and posts are the same, which looks perfect and satisfies me. (might have OCD) Lmao! I didn't notice that. I guess today's my lucky day And yeah I'll try doing that. I might try to replicate this situation in another region because I've heard the Maxis Tutorial cities are bugged.
  6. Yes they are (well at least the ones close to the RHW anyway). Btw the industrial area that the RHW is connecting had a bunch of high tech before this problem started happening. As soon as the high tech appeared, the high wealth started becoming jobless (too long of a commute time) and as a result most of the high tech changed to manufacturing. I only play in Timbuktu so I hope it's not due to a bug Maxis forgot to fix in their tutorial cities. Also, I hope it isn't the eternal commuter bug :/
  7. Could you show us a snapshot of your city/demand graph? The cause might be something else, it could be that the desirability/demand for high-wealth residents is too low. If this is not the case maybe cogeo came up with helps (use at own risk ). Sure! I actually already used that mod as posted in my original post but unfortunately I did not work for me. Here are the pics: This is my high-wealth residential section of my city. I bulldozed all my abandoned buildings but as you can see most the buildings are jobless and/or degraded. This is my demand graph. I'm not using any demand mods (except the file from cogeo). So as you can see the high wealth demand isn't negative.
  8. Anyone else lost interest?

The only way people will be interested in playing this game for a long time like SimCity 4 is if they allow offline saving, modding, bigger maps, terraforming and contiguous cities. But we know that most of these things will never happen.
  9. NAM 31 Central Bug Tracker Thread

I wouldn't recommend this, as RTMT (for example) could be considered a "transportation item". (Although I know that's not what you meant, others might not). The Cleanitol feature has been improved for NAM 31.1, and it should take care of all conflicting files. So we strongly recommend installing the NAM over any existing installation. The installer will also get rid of duplicate NAM installations. I just re-installed the NAM using custom installation and the problems that I listed have been solved. Funny thing is the first time I installed NAM 31 I used "Complete Standard Installation" and that's when the things like textures, high speed rail stations, etc. became missing. Weird.
  10. NAM 31 Central Bug Tracker Thread

When you install NAM 31 (or NAM 31.x), it will automatically delete any past version of the NAM. Try redoing the installation, using custom installation. There should be a list for stations among the list of everything else. Ok thank you. Should I delete my current NAM folder and then do the installation or just install it without deleting anything?
  11. NAM 31 Central Bug Tracker Thread

I don't see the high speed rail stations in my rail menu. Also, these are the errors I'm getting with the new SAM streets. I installed NAM 31 ontop of my NAM 30 + hotfix. I hope it didn't install incorrectly or something. Should I just delete my NAM folder (along with the RHW, SAM, RAM, etc. folders inside) and reinstall NAM 31 from scratch?
  12. NAM 31 Central Bug Tracker Thread

Do we have to download a hotfix after downloading the newest version? Also, why don't the high speed rails have any stations?? Also for the new SAM streets, it's giving me these errors when I scroll to them: Set 6: SAM Texture Set 6 Not Installed Set 10: Intersection placement string missing. Mind you I installed this ontop of my existing NAM 30 + hotfix installation.
  13. Network Addon Mod (NAM) - Cross-Platform

Do we have to download the hotfix after downloading this? Also, why don't the high speed rails have any stations??   Also for the new SAM streets, it's giving me these errors when I scroll to them:   Set 6: SAM Texture Set 6 Not Installed   Set 10: Intersection placement string missing.   Mind you I installed this ontop of my existing NAM installation.
  14. Simcity?

This game is a broken and buggy mess. There are various launch bugs that haven't been fixed yet. Plus there's always the chance that you'll lose your city because of the always online component. The game restricts you more than SimCity 4 because of the lack of controllable highways, subways, large maps, terraforming, and a host of other things that were simplified in order to make this game suitable for a casual audience. I would buy SimCity 4 if I were you. It might not have 3D graphics since it was released 10 years ago but it has everything else that SimCity 2013 does not including large contiguous maps.
  15. Plus the fact that the modders here have made better looking European building sets for SimCity 4. Another thing is that the building sets that come with SimCity Deluxe aren't really full building sets. They only apply to medium or high wealth residential. They didn't bother putting any low wealth residential or commercial European buildings when they could have easily done so (i.e. La Defense skyscrapers).
  16. http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/25/buy-dove-products-get-20-off-dead-space-3-simcity-or-most-wa/ The limited boxed edition of the game is $40 on Amazon right now. Take advantage of the "Buy $15 worth of Dove products and get $20 off an EA game" promotion on the product's page to get the game + soap for $35. Just add some Dove soap to your cart that's worth at least $15. At the checkout screen the game + soap should come out to ~$35. That's some weird marking right there. I guess Amazon really wants to get rid of its copies because they must have bought more than they needed to lol.
  17. I know the answer is probably going to be no but is the game worth the $40 now or are the game-breaking bugs and connection problems still present? Amazon thankfully will let me pay for the game with ~5,000 points from my AMEX card so I wouldn't be really paying for it. However I could use my reward points for other things and I wouldn't want to waste them on this game if it's still broken and buggy (and especially if the price will get even lower in a month or two). If it's still in a similar state that it was 2-3 weeks ago then forget about it.
  18. Hmm I probably won't get it until it reaches $30 then. I knew the gameplay was not going to reach SimCity 4 levels but the more and more I read it seems like the worst of the series (in terms of when each SimCity was released). And that's the feeling I got from the beta too. Besides the gameplay though are the bugs still there? Do Sims still not show up for work in other cities? Do service vehicles get stuck in traffic jams? Is path finding still horrible so you get massive traffic jams? Is trading/regional play still screwed up? And most of all, do cities still get roll backed or even deleted because of EA's servers?
  19. I got email saying they won't do the price match.... Darn it. Edit: can't i just get the game refunded through amazon returns or something? then rebuy it? I did that for Mortal Kombat 2011 because my copy was defective. Turns out just as I returned the game it had a $10 price drop so I saved some money. You could give it a try.
  20. French city set.

They could have added in some really nice La Defense or City of London skyscrapers, but they didn't. What a shame.
  21. Why was my post removed? All I said was "This makes me sick." How is that in any way, shape or form offensive or insulting to someone else?
  22. Got Refund! for Simcity

Amazon is one of the best companies in existence since they actually care about the customer. EA on the other hand.... Btw I hope you don't have that many important games on Origin because apparently people have been getting banned from Origin for getting a refund from Amazon or even just complaining: http://www.reddit.com/r/SimCity/comments/1aeoub/warning_origin_disabled_my_legitimate_simcity_key/ http://www.reddit.com/r/SimCity/comments/1abtky/ea_disabling_simcity_for_some_amazon_orders_and/ https://i.imgur.com/nMBlmf0.png http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3536634&pagenumber=213&perpage=40#post413488508
  23. Still too much for this game imo. I wouldn't pay more than $20-25 for it.
